The official tally of Daimler regarding its sales in 2014 was recently published on its Global Media Newsroom. According to the data found there, Mercedes-Benz sales increased by 12.9 percent based on a year-on-year comparison. The rate translated to a total of 1,650,010 vehicles sold worldwide. The achievement of the three-pointed star brand this year marked its fourth consecutive record year. The year that just ended was highlighted by December being the strongest month of the brand, successfully getting 163,171 sales for its units. RevoZport was quick to follow up on the recent unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake by introducing its new tuning package for the car. The kit includes visual and aerodynamic enhancements for the body of the vehicle, plus some tweaks in the engine. Starting with the exterior, the RZA-290 Aerokit of the tuner brings about a couple of striking updates in the styling and aerodynamics of the CLA Shooting Brake. The test mule of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake was spotted recently in Germany, according to a report from worldcarfans.com. The test mule was seen with a small amount of camouflage, which virtually revealed its complete design. The luxury vehicle was recognizable due to its front fascia and elegant rear, which shares some similarities to the CLS Shooting Brake. While the outcome was not quite practical, it appears to be among the most appealing compact wagons currently available in the market. Daimler boss Dr. Dieter Zetsche himself said that they could have sold twice as many vehicles easily if it weren’t for supply constraints. In my previous article, it was revealed that Mercedes-Benz is gradually implementing its renaming strategy. One of the affected would be the popular M-Class. Read the article here for more information on the story. I agree that the decision of Ola Kaellenius is very smart move, because it lets customers interrelate the products of the three-pointed star brand easily. It basically bridges a relationship between the larger variants of the German marque with their sedan counterparts.
