Mercedes-Benz is not worried about China. That’s what Matt Rivers of CNN thinks because the sales of the three-pointed star brand in the country continued to soar despite its cooling economy. Mercedes-Benz Trails Behind BMW in 2015 Luxury Car Sales

BMW remains the world’s top luxury car brand in terms of sales in 2015. However, Mercedes-Benz garnered enough figures to propel itself to number two in the race, beating Audi. According to Motor Authority, the latest numbers shows that BMW is on its fifth consecutive record sales. In the year that just ended, the rival of Mercedes listed a total of 1,905,234 units sold. The Mercedes-Benz GLC Hits Dealerships in China

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is now available in China. According to the CarNewsChina website, the price range of the SUV is at 396,000 and 579,000 yuan or $62,000 to $90,580. This GLC is locally-made by Beijing-Benz, a joint venture between Beijing Automotive Group and Daimler AG, wherein the companies own 50% each in its shares. It should be noted that the company used to make the GLK, the GLC’s predecessor, as well as the GLA. As part of the partnership of Mercedes-Benz with the BAIC Group, production of the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV has started, as shown on a report from worldcarfans.com. Production of the GLC SUV at the assembly plant of the joint venture in Beijing comes six months after local production of the GLA-Class began. Mercedes-Benz R-Class is Getting Prepared for China

The Mercedes-Benz R-Class is staging a comeback. But this time, it will be targeted exclusively for customers in China. According to CNBC, the assembly of the R-Class recently commenced at the AM General assembly plant located in Mishakawa, Indiana. It was the same facility that built the Hummer H2 from 2002 to 2009.
