Mercedes-Benz Sales Grew by 12.9 Percent Globally

The official tally of Daimler regarding its sales in 2014 was recently published on its Global Media Newsroom. According to the data found there, Mercedes-Benz sales increased by 12.9 percent based on a year-on-year comparison. The rate translated to a total of 1,650,010 vehicles sold worldwide. The achievement of the three-pointed star brand this year marked its fourth consecutive record year. The year that just ended was highlighted by December being the strongest month of the brand, successfully getting 163,171 sales for its units. Classic Mercedes-Benz E-Class Limousine Seen in China

Long before the Mercedes S600 Pullman was the W124 Mercedes-Benz E-Class limousine. A couple of weeks ago, the car was spotted traversing the airport expressway in Guangzhou, located in the Guangdong Province of China. Unlike the soon-to-be-released S-Class stretched limo with only four doors, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class limousine had six doors. The earlier limo of the three-pointed star brand was also shorter than the upcoming one with just a 5,540 mm overall length and a wheelbase measurement of 3,600 mm. Mercedes-Benz Breaks Last Year’s Sales

There is still a couple of weeks left before the year ends, but according to the report of Daimler, Mercedes-Benz already topped its sales last year. Based from the parent of the three-pointed star marque, there were 1,486,839 vehicles sold since the beginning of the year. The figure indicated a 12.4 percent increase compared to 2013’s records. That’s not all. The sales record of the brand consistently displayed an increase in the months leading to November. Study says Chinese Mercedes-Benz owners are likely wealthy entrepreneurs

It may not sound like much of a surprise, but according to a brand study, Mercedes-Benz owners in China belong mostly to a class of wealthy entrepreneurs, and are in fact among the wealthiest in the nation. Those were the findings in a study conducted on the eight major luxury automakers in the biggest automotive market in the world, via a report by The Detroit News. Successful and wealthy entrepreneurs comprise the crop of Mercedes-Benz owners, and these same owners have the highest household assets among the groups of luxury car owners, pegged at 11.3 million yuan. Mercedes Vision G-Code Crossover Concept Unveiled

Coinciding with the opening of the Mercedes-Benz R&D center in Beijing, China, the three-pointed star brand also released its new subcompact crossover concept dubbed as the Mercedes Vision G-Code.
