Red is a color normally synonymous with sports cars and is a color not usually associated with Mercedes cars. But Brabus, as it usually does, has defied convention with this red G-Class, which fairly screams for attention with its all-red bodywork, including the grille and side mirrors. Contrasting black wheels make this Brabus Widestar-influenced SUV looking as aggressive as it can be. Knowing Brabus and its customers with big wallets, its safe to assume that performance upgrades are present in this sporty G-Class and unlike other low-slung sports cars that are limited to smooth pavement, this rugged beast can keep on going where the road ends.
You know electric cars are really in our future when premier Mercedes tuner Brabus not only develops an EV, but sets up a division to develop such vehicles, called Brabus Zero Emission. One of its first developments that has been made public at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show is its E-Class based 4WD Full Electric concept car. Compared to the supercar performance that Brabus cars normally show, this car can be best described as having adequate performance, hitting 0-100 km/h in just under 7 seconds. Although it’s the SLS that has been hogging the limelight these days, the Mercedes SLR McLaren still has enough credibility as a sports car to be taken seriously. Now, this chromed example is an even more incredible example of one of Mercedes’ finest. Reportedly owned by an Arab, this car was given the full treatment, as it’s got 20-inch chrome wheels and chrome tinted windows. Since Brabus handled the modifications, we can assume that the upgrades did not stop with the exterior. Some engine tuning was also done to increase output to 650 horsepower but because this car was caught moving, no detail shots of the interior are available. It’s… Continue Reading »
