Spy Shots Reveal the China-Made Mercedes-Benz GLA

Spy shots taken by a Chinese-based site reveal that the China-made Mercedes-Benz GLA is already poised to hit the robust luxury car market of the country. The blurry photo above shows the frontal angle of the compact SUV. On the other hand, the one below displays the rear view of the auto. According to CarNewsChina, the Chinese version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA is scheduled to hit the country’s market in May this year. This Beijing Auto BJ100 Uses the Mercedes GLK Platform

Would you believe that the mammoth Sport Utility Vehicle above, called the Beijing Auto BJ100, was based from the China-made Mercedes GLK? According to CarNewsChina, the chiseled vehicle was indeed based from our beloved SUV with the three-pointed star logo. The BJ100 debuted at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show in its concept form. The targeted production of the SUV is next year. The source claimed this abomination was made by Beijing Auto, and its platform utilized the one used by the Mercedes GLK that is manufactured in China by Beijing-Benz. 2015 Mercedes C-Class LWB Model Launched in 2014 Beijing Motor Show

If you think that the new Mercedes Concept Coupe SUV is already amazing, here’s another treat from Mercedes-Benz. Another car that was launched during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show was the 2015 Mercedes C-Class LWB (long-wheelbase) version. Based on the press release of Mercedes-Benz, the new Mercedes C-Class LWB measures 4,766 millimeters long and its wheelbase is at 2,920 mm. That’s an 80 mm increase in length and another 80 mm increase in its width. The rear passenger seat is also widened by around 25 mm. China Division Of Mercedes-Benz Investigated For Asphalt Use On Vehicles

The China division of Mercedes-Benz is being investigated along with two other auto manufacturers by the Administrative Center for Defective Products of China or the DPAC since it supposedly used asphalt on vehicles as sound deadeners. The two other automobile manufacturers whose China divisions were also investigated were Audi and BMW. The report indicated that some models of the vehicles produced by Beijing-Benz, FAW-Volkswagen and Brilliance-BMW supposedly used asphalt on their damping plates. The damping plates of the vehicles are used to absorb noise and vibration. It is also used as waterproofing for the vehicles. Daimler and Beijing Automotive Take Action to Strengthen Position in the Market

December 18 marked the integration of Mercedes-Benz Service Co. in Beijing. It was a joint venture of Daimler and Beijing Automotive.
