According to a survey done by J.D. Power and Associates, called the Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study, Mercedes-Benz’ owners are the most satisfied. The C, E and M-Class models scored the best in their individual segments, Other than that, the company also got the first place in Service Satisfaction category. Pitted against 28 car manufacturers and 100 models in eight categories, Mercedes-Benz scored high and placed first three times. Gary Paffett signed a new multi-year contract with Mercedes-Benz.The driver, who recorded a total of 17 wins from 73 starts, has been with Mercedes-Benz for 8 years. German tuning company, Carlsson enhances the 2012 Mercedes Benz. The kit simply called the” Carlsson 2012 SLK” includes a rear apron and front spoiler, a pair of side sills, stainless grille and sport system of the same material. The interior kit includes seats, panel upholstery and headrest. Meanwhile the engine attached is the new CGI engines which increases the performance to up to 40HP from the original one. The upgrade also has a 30mm lower suspension and custom 18-inch wheels. The complete upgrade for the 2012 Mercedes SLK costs € 1,190 to € 1,690.
There has been reports going around in the automotive industry, Mercedes-Benz is working on a new car which will be a baby SLS coupe. A report from German auto magazine, Auto Bild says that a fighter using a twin-turbo V6 will be launched by the company, this car will rival the Porsche 911 but with a better edge. Aside from the twin-turbo engine, it will be in various tunes from 350HP to 500HP. Unfortunately, this car will not have the same gullwing doors as its larger counterpart because Mercedes-Benz plan to sell it at a lower price, the 350HP model to be sold at €100,000. For us who can’t own a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, something about being able to see it and change its specifications make us somehow happy about this vehicle. The thrill of just looking at it makes our hearts pound. That is why Mercedes released a configurator to pump our interest on the car even more.
