The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be the earliest model of the three-pointed star brand to offer support for Apple’s CarPlay. This report came from IndianAutosBlog, citing MB Passion as source. In addition to the CarPlay support, the car will also allow MirrorLink integration with its COMAND infotainment system. It was earlier rumored that the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be the first car of the brand to offer CarPlay support. Today (August 15), the Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA), together with BMW Car Club of America (BMW CCA) and Audi Club North America will team up to co-host a historic event. The three luxury car clubs will be facilitating the 5th Annual Legends of the Autobahn. The event also co-sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and other prominent brands, will be held at the grounds of Nicklaus Club Monterey in California starting from 8 AM to 3 PM. When Internet companies’ upcoming products get leaked, it’s usually through tech blogs, insiders, or marketing ploys intended to drum up interest. This time, though, a job advertisement from a partner is the culprit, as Daimler, the parent company of German automaker Mercedes-Benz, unwittingly leaked Google’s “Projected Mode” via a job posting on its web site, which to our knowledge has since been amended.
