Is Daimler Aiming for a Motorcycle Division

There have been speculations in the past that Daimler was looking to pursue the expansion of its vehicle range by adding a motorcycle division. This was fueled up when the German multinational automotive corporation joined in the bid to own Ducati two years ago. Unluckily, the famous motorcycle brand landed in the ownership of Volkswagen, a rival of Daimler. The brand was put under the Lamborghini development division of VW. This left Daimler as the only German automaker without a motorcycle division. Fast-forward today, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz is currently in a bid to secure the ownership of the Italian motorcycle-maker MV Augusta according to an MBWorld blog. Hamilton’s time was good enough for Q2, but since he was not able to get a run in, he only qualifies at P16 on the grid.
