2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be Compatible with CarPlay

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be the earliest model of the three-pointed star brand to offer support for Apple’s CarPlay. This report came from IndianAutosBlog, citing MB Passion as source. In addition to the CarPlay support, the car will also allow MirrorLink integration with its COMAND infotainment system. It was earlier rumored that the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be the first car of the brand to offer CarPlay support. This was backed by the fact that the latest C-Class was the first Mercedes to preview the feature during the Geneva Motor Show last year. With this latest development, the CarPlay integration option might be available earlier than speculated. The 2016 Mercedes A-Class will come as a… Continue Reading »

Lewis Hamilton cruises to Canadian GP victory as Mercedes clinches another one-two finish

Looks like Mercedes AMG Petronas driver Lewis Hamilton got over his Monaco heartbreak easily. He drove as well as he could have at the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend on his way to a race win from pole position, ahead of the fourth Mercedes one-two finish of the season. Hamilton finished  a comfortable 2.285 seconds ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg, putting some separation (7 more points) between the two competitors. The defending champion is ahead in the championship race, 151 points to 134 after seven races. Williams’ Valtteri Bottas joined the two Mercedes drivers on the podium. Montreal is where Hamilton won his first F1 race back in 2007, so the… Continue Reading »

Video: The Mercedes-AMG GT is Just Too Quick

The Mercedes-AMG GT is quick. Its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine is designed to deliver 456 hp for the standard GT and 503 hp for the GT S version. Each is mated with a 479 lb-ft of torque and distributed by the brand’s 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission gearbox with manual shifting mode. The said elements enable the sports car to achieve an acceleration from zero to 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. Then its maximum speed is electronically limited at 193 mph. The numbers above certainly speak a lot about the performance you could expect from the Mercedes-AMG GT. To put it in a simpler term, the Mercedes-AMG GT is really fast. Last… Continue Reading »

Spy Video Shows the Mercedes-Benz GLC Exterior and Interior

A Mercedes-Benz GLC prototype fleet has been spotted recently and recorded on video. The clip was uploaded by walkoART in YouTube showing the SUV almost bare, with only the camouflage covering some portions of the bumpers. This provides us a good look at the interior of the auto too. The subject above may be one of the units also spied by the same uploader in the past. But this time, the black strips covering the entire length of the SUV’s sides are now gone. So the lines of the GLC are now exposed. It should be noted that the choice of finish for the prototype, which was red, was a wise choice because it highlighted more the… Continue Reading »

Check Out What Mansory Did to the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6

Sadly, the production of the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 has already come to an end last April. The reason behind the move is to limit the number of the six-wheeler and ensure its rarity. The exit of the auto is also to pave way to its successor, the Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42. Recently, Mansory released some photos of its new work on the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6, which can be considered as the final salute of the tuner to the behemoth. The tuner called it the G63 6×6 Gronos. The upgrades feature a significant boost in the engine of the six-wheeler plus some body enhancements. Starting from under the hood of the auto, Mansory tweaked the vehicle’s 5.5-liter… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz Gets Ready to Compete Against Tesla in Battery Business

Mercedes-Benz is gearing to enter another portion of the market. According to Australia’s Motoring, the three-pointed star marque is looking to bring its electric vehicle battery technology to households and businesses. If this comes into fruition, it would pit the company directly against Tesla’s own plans. Around last month, Tesla announced that it will be offering its Model S battery technology to households and businesses. This will let home and business owners store excess electricity from the grid to be used again for powering up various appliances or equipment. However, while all the attention about this subject has been focused on Tesla, Mercedes-Benz has already made its own lithium-ion battery that provides the same… Continue Reading »

New Mercedes-Benz A-Class Ad Released

Mercedes-Benz UK recently launched a new advertisement for the current Mercedes-Benz A-Class through YouTube. The video shoot may not be too fancy but it sure does have a nice music as a background. So good that I immediately searched the whole song later and played it for a couple of times. Until now, I still have an LSS of it. Anyway, based on the video, the existing Mercedes-Benz A-Class can now be yours for as low as £3,182 advance payment plus 20% VAT, and a monthly of £269. That’s lower than when it first came out. But if you are really looking to own an A-Class why not wait until probably next year when the new… Continue Reading »
