According to the reports, these new models are a refreshed and latest generation offerings. We already saw their new CL, CLS, S-Class and R-Class, also the spy photo of the anticipated SLK, SL, SLS Convertible and the C-Class Coupe.
Furthermore, its the latest B-Class that may be one of the most fascinating vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz USA lineup. The modified hatch will be developed to be more appealing for its American clients, and will be the first Mercedes to be presented in the US with front-wheel drive and four-cylinder engines. According to the rumors, it will also include a rear-wheel-drive AMG version that would be the foundation for a CLC Shooting Brake, and will be fitted with its own coupe, crossover and sedan trims.
Other models in line include a C-Class convertible and potential crossover that would give M-B 3 Series and X3 competition. A total of 100 F-Cell automobiles will be tried out in California, and the SLS E-Cell will be presented in 2013 with 526 horsepower and a 120-mile range. How much do you weigh? How much do your family members and friends weigh? These numbers should make you realize that a sedan or coupe just doesn’t quite cut it when you need to travel with them tagging along. What you need is something bigger—something that has the guts to pull your combined body weights and still look powerfully graceful. With that mind, we humbly present to you the latest in Mercedes-Benz’s luxury line of SUV’s—the 2012 GL-Class.
Set to have a heart similar to the ML-Class, the new GL-Class is very much still sitting in its conceptual stages. Power looks to be promising with Mercedes-Benz’s MOVE technology—cutting edge direct injection V6 and twin turbo V8 engines. Actual figures are still shrouded in mystery though, until Mercedes-Benz decides to make things public.
Style-wise, the new GL-Class is expected to retain some of its predecessor’s lines, although the extensive camouflaging up front and on the sides suggest major distinctions. The grille seems to have at least two to three bars, a lot less than the current GL, or perhaps the gaps have been widened for better airflow. Headlights look pretty much unique, and so do the taillights which have been repositioned on the tailgate area.
Other than, the new GL looks entirely promising. Bet your cards we’ll be here to update you as soon as Mercedes-Benz releases official information to the press.

Rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt, but when it’s as tantalizing as this bit of news, you might want to sprinkle a little pepper as well. Mercedes-Benz is supposedly preparing a crossover model to refresh their already impressive lineup of vehicles. The model is to be named the GLC, and if the rumors hold true, should make its appearance sometime in 2014. Yes, there’s still quite a long way to go.
According to autozeitung.de, there will be quite a few similarities between the GLC and rival brand BMW’s X6, but one will be bigger than the other. The X6 currently measures 4.4 meters in length, coming in standard two-wheel drive and offering four-wheel drive as an option. The GLC meanwhile may lend itself powertrains from either the C or E class, and have either a 204-hp 1.8 liter gasoline four banger or a 170-hp 2.2-liter four cylinder diesel. It’s also possible that it’ll borrow platform designs from both A and B class, which are both currently undergoing development.
Right now, the GLC is being referred to as X156 in the development plant. No more information is available except it’s going to be sporting really huge wheels and tires, a highly-angular bumper and a coupe-like roof design. So you might want to stick around for updates.

With a successful launch of BlueTEC equipped models in the US, Mercedes-Benz is now bringing its BlueTEC SUVs to the European market. This is a guaranteed home win. The three BlueTEC SUVs can be ordered immediately; deliveries will begin in September 2009.
The turn in American tax policy has contributed to the “reintroduction” of diesel power cars in the US. With the purchase of a Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC owners get the same tax benefits as for a hybrid car. For example, the GL equipped with BlueTEC technology can bring a savings of $1,832. In addition to the E 350 BlueTEC sedan, the range also includes three SUV vehicles – the ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC, GL 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC and R 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC. In a recent study, conducted by CNW Marketing Reserach for Forbes, they found that the Maybach was the car brand most driven by men. Mercedes picked up three spots on the list, with the Maybach (both 57 and 62), the GL-Class, and the G-Class. One reason that the Maybach came on top and with such a wide margin is probably due to the fact that only 156 were sold in the US last year, and with a price tag of a 4 bedroom home, a female (and probably more rational person) won’t be enticed by such a luxurious vehicle.
1. Maybach 57 and 62 – 95% male drivers
2. Mercedes-Benz GL-Class – 90.47%
3. Lamborghini – 90.32%
4. Rolls-Royce Phantom – 90%
5. Dodge Viper – 89.87%
6. Mercedes-Benz G-Class – 88.84%
7. Ferrari – 85.82%
8. Cadillac Escalade ESV – 85.13%
9. BMW 6 Series – 81.71%
10. Aston Martin – 81.25%

Diesel SUV sales are driving Mercedes-Benz sales in Canada. Gasoline powered sedans are also flying off the forecourts, but it is the diesel SUVs that are helping Benz to capture sales from European and Japanese rivals such as BMW and Lexus. Neither of these competitors offer any diesel models, and gas-guzzling SUVs are currently about as popular as a mosquito in your camping tent.
Mercedes-Benz Canada reached the half-way point of 2008 by beating the best first half ever, the best second quarter ever, and the best June ever. As their rivals falter, the three-pointed star continues to surge ahead.
Press release in full after the break.

Mercedes Benz has finally won approval to license BlueTEC SUVs in all 50 states. They will shortly start selling the ML 320, R 320, and GL 320 BlueTEC in all US states, and feature the worlds cleanest diesel technology available.
The vehicles, which will first be available in the US, will comply with the extremely strict requirements of the American Bin 5 and ULEV emission standards. This will make Mercedes-Benz the first manufacturer to be able to license diesel SUVs in all 50 US states.
The public is still not aware on how this technology works, so we’ll try to explain. The second BlueTEC version, used in the new GL 320 BlueTEC, ML 320 BlueTEC and R 320 BlueTEC models, makes use of AdBlue, a harmless aqueous urea solution, that is injected into the exhaust-gas stream. This process releases ammonia, which converts up to 80 percent of the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water by a process of reduction in the downstream SCR catalytic converter.
