Anderson Germany gets their hands on the Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG Black Edition

anderson germany mercedes cl 65 amg black edition 001 597x398 Anderson Germany gets their hands on the Mercedes Benz CL 65 AMG Black Edition

Tuners are hard at work it seems in their craft. The latest Mercedes-Benz ramification comes from Anderson Germany with their version of the Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG Black Edition. Theirs features an engine upgrade that involves specialized computer software optimization, sports air filter, plasma-coated exhaust system with racing catalytic converters, and larger accessory pulleys to bump power up to 670hp.

The vinyl-wrapped appearance gives the car that novel image just begging for aggression and respect at the same time. Well, Anderson Germany prefers to call it satin matte deluxe/black. The kit also includes a jet-black carbon exterior packet that consists of an external mirror, window frames, front grille, door handles, hatchback panel, ventilator frames on the bonnet, and diverse engine room coverings. A rear spoiler lip rides the back to complete the aerodynamic package.

What’s kind of odd is that Anderson Germany decided to equip the car with an electronically-adjustable suspension. While it’s not entirely bad, it just doesn’t add up to have an automatic suspension setup to handle 670 horses of power.

Well, anyway, the whole thing rolls with 22-inch rims that are black/gloss finished with matching jet black carbon edging, so it’s still worth attention. The interior is a sight to behold as well if you’re fond of warm colored trims and leather. Anderson Germany also accepts customer-specific tailoring, so yes, this car is definitely going to turn heads on the streets.

SLS AMG coming to China this month

PHO 10Apr26 2200421 597x397 SLS AMG coming to China this month

September is a very special month for China, as Mercedes-Benz is set to start shipping the SLS AMG into Shanghai. This comes as a direct result of the company’s vastly improving market in China, and is a move to expand their product line up in the country.

The Chinese are by no means hard to please when it comes to cars, but for the handful who can afford to buy, and drive, an SLS AMG, it’ll take a lot of getting used to. The SLS AMG isn’t built for a comfy, luxurios ride. Far from it. This premium supercar was built to hit speeds nearing 200 miles per hour. It’s fast and agile, owing to its aluminum spaceframe body and the AMG 6.3-liter V8 that’s hiding underneath the hood.

The engine is capable of 420 kW (571 hp) and 650 Nm torque. Paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that will outshift any human being, the engine’s power will chew up tires in no time. Fortunately, the SLS AMG rides on a sports tuned suspension system with equally lightweight aluminum double wishbones.

The car-loving Chinese elite will definitely love this car’s power. They’ve got enough road to let loose the SLS AMG for some serious adrenaline-pumping action.

Spy Photo: Partly Camouflaged 2012 Mercedes SLK

spyshots 2012 mercedes slk 597x398 Spy Photo: Partly Camouflaged 2012 Mercedes SLK

After some spy photos showing the 2012 Mercedes SLK being tested while wrapped in heavy camouflage, photographers have succeeded to take a much revealing photo of the German coupe-convertible.

Based on the photo, the automobile showed some improvements and modifications in its body, even though the enhancements that really matter, which includes the more aggressive front nose is still hidden in thin layer of camouflage.

On the next generation SLK, the side mirrors will also be modified, as they are now much larger and adjusted further back than the present version. It is also situated on the doors and not in the front front of the side window.

Nonetheless, those who were aspiring for a design transformation with the latest SLK may be disappointed, as the SLK continues to carry the design cues that is familiar to its model.

With regards to the engine, it is anticipated that the SLK will feature four and six-cylinder petrol engines, with an average of 180 hp, and a much stronger AMG version of one of them is also to be also presented.

The AMG SLK will also be fitted with a smaller, twin-turbocharged engine (possibly a V6), rather than the present 5.4l V8. Though it is much smaller, the engine will be at about the same levels as in the present SLK AMG Black Series, with at least 400HP.

Limited edition C63 AMG DR 520 Estate falls into Jenson Button’s hands

mercedes benz c63 amg dr 520 100320085 m 597x430 Limited edition C63 AMG DR 520 Estate falls into Jenson Buttons hands

There are so many perks in being a Formula 1 World Champion, especially if you’re the current champion. And one of those is being granted ownership of exclusive vehicles—even limited edition ones—like the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR 520 Estate.

What’s so special about this wagon? Let’s just say it has around 520 horses under its hood, being able to pull from zero to sixty in just 4.1 seconds. Top speed? Around 187mph, electronically limited of course. And, it’s only available through Mercedes-Benz’s Specialist Products Division. So who’s the lucky Formula 1 World Champion that got this very special Benz delivered to his front yard? Well, none other than the reigning champion Jenson Button, of course.

In case you’re wondering, the DR 520 Estate is derived from a base C63 AMG wagon. AMG decided to take things a little further by adding their very own Performance Pack Plus. The kit includes a red caliper brake upgrades, forged pistons, connecting rod upgrades, redesigned crankshaft, and a carbon fiber AMG rear spoiler, only on the sedan, of course.

The price tag of £62,430 for the sedan and £63,680 for the wagon includes black or white wraps, Titanium alloys, grille and badges. Leather and Alcantara abound in the interior including a Nappa leather-Alcantara steering wheel. So if you’ve got an extra ten grand of pounds to spare, then you might want to get the kit for your own C63.

It’s only available in the UK, people. Unless, of course, you’re Jenson Button.

BRABUS magic on the SLS AMG

Brabus Mercedes Benz SLS AMG 2011 800x600 wallpaper 0a 597x447 BRABUS magic on the SLS AMG

Lots of carbon fiber makes for a really lightweight car. And for something’s that’s already lightweight and has supercar performance, the SLS AMG might seem an unlikely candidate for modification. But not for Brabus. They came up with their very own take on what an SLS AMG should be, and that’s lighter, and faster, anywhere.

But first they had to make it more aerodynamic and had to tune its suspension. For that they added loads of carbon fiber components, ultra light forged alloys, Ride Control suspension, titanium exhaust system with bypass gate, and of course, for their final touch, their very own brand of Brabus leather.

The kind of carbon fiber they used is comparable to the type in use in Formula 1. They design each aerodynamic component using their very own wind tunnel (hard core stuff). Of course, for the discerning customer, they’ll be happy to match these components with your SLS AMG’s paint.

The Brabus spoiler up front reduces lift at high speeds to give you all the confidence of a Formula 1 driver. The host of air inlets and outlets makes your SLS AMG a living, breathing hotrod. Of course, you won’t mind a little flair with lighted Brabus letterings on your door sills. It’ll help take the edge off as you master the Ride Control system of 20 and 21 inch wheels.

Finally, the engine—the original 6.3-liter V8 is now getting its finishing touches. You’ll just have to wait and see how this baby fares on the open road. Hell, to hear it’s titanium exhaust is enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand.

Most powerful AMG yet courtesy of MKB

2011 MKB Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series9 597x447 Most powerful AMG yet courtesy of MKB
What’s the best thing about tuners? Is it the radical body kits that they slap on a car? Or is it the sophisticated interior that totally transforms a vehicle inside out? Well, maybe for some, yes. But for most auto enthusiasts, the real worth of a tuner is in their ability to bring out the best in a vehicle’s stock engine. And for Mercedes-Benz tuner MKB, nothing comes closer to that than their latest creation.

The car in question is a Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series. These Swabian engineers added not 100 nor 200 horsepower to its 670hp engine but 345 horses, bringing up the total power to an unbelievable 1,015hp. Of course, you’re going to ask how much torque are delivered to its rear wheels. MKB’s answer is an astounding 1,300 Nm torque, electronically limited to prevent mechanical damage to the engine.

If you’re thinking you can just bring your SL 65 AMG Black Series to MKB and ask them to work their magic, you have to understand that it involves a major engine conversion. These guys are known for transforming ordinary both sports and luxury cars into Autobahn addicts. Their creations reach speeds wherein jet fighters would have already retracted their landing gear. And no, there haven’t been any news of their cars taking off—not without wings at the least.

How are they able to reach such speeds without launching off the ground? Through downforce engineering. And so enough said. Enjoy the pictures, guys. Because you likely won’t be able to catch a glimpse of this beast on the road, not unless you’re driving a Veyron.

Leaked! AMG’s take on the next-generation CLS

cls amg 5 597x404 Leaked! AMGs take on the next generation CLS

We owe you guys and gals another installment of CLS updates, but this time, we aren’t going to give you renderings. The photos in the gallery below are the next-generation CLS sedan in what seems to be AMG tailoring. We may have been too excited to suggest that previous renderings of the next CLS were in fact its much-awaited AMG variant. This time, however, we’re quite sure that we’re staring at the right creature, unless of course Mercedes-Benz says otherwise.

We could go on and on with the next CLS’ sexy lines, intimidating headlights and taillights, and bold fascia, but we’d rather stick to what really matters when involving anything that rolls out of AMG’s front yard—the engine. You can expect no less than Mercedes-Benz’s all-new 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 to charge this baby with so much steroids, you’ll be running out of adrenaline in no time. What’s cool about this is that this engine will soon become standard on all of AMG’s V8-powered creations. So you could more or less say that AMG’s variant of the next CLS will be pioneering this engine, along with the S63 and the CL63.

Performance figures? Let’s just say that it’ll have around 540 horses, plus 590 pound per feet of torque, that it can literally grow hair on your chest. What’s really scary is that, knowing AMG, they’ll be coming up with an upgraded performance kit that will bring these numbers up to goodness knows what. We can already see AMG loyalists calling in to place their reservations.

As for the rest of you digging this, stay tuned. There’s definitely more to come.

Spy Photo: Latest Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG

03 sl amg 597x392 Spy Photo: Latest Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG Based on the spy photo, the team behind AMG have been hard at work on a latest Mercedes-Benz model. Behind all the camouflage is the next-generation Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG. Even with all of the plastic concealing its bodywork, it is certain that the engineers attempt for the convertible to have some air intakes in its front face. Based on the rumors, the reason for this has something to do with the large sized brakes of this automobile. If you examine its front brakes closely, you should notice six-pot calipers compressed on cross-drilled rotors.

According to the news, the SL63 AMG is powered by a 571 horsepower twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8, thus the supposed need for a much tougher breaking system. Additionally, it is also said to include an AMG Speedshift seven-speed gearbox to provide for its shifting tasks.

Too shiny for comfort: The SLS AMG GT3

01slsamggt3quail 597x396 Too shiny for comfort: The SLS AMG GT3

Ladies and gents, no you are not looking at a car that’s sitting comfortably somewhere in Dubai, Russia or even its home country Germany. This beautiful SLS AMG GT3 is in Monterey for its classic car week event.

In case you’re wondering, the SLS AMG GT3 is Mercedes-Benz’s official racing version of their V8 supercar. We know—it now looks like a car which has risen out of a scene from Terminator. Heck, it could even pass off as either an Autobot or a Decepticon in either installment of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies. But it’s none of those. The reason that it looks like liquid silver is to live up to Mercedes-Benz’s Silver Arrows heritage. Talk about sticking to your roots.

The SLS AMG GT3 is so sleek, you can use it as a mirror wherever you go. Of course, you won’t be driving a race car on public roads, now will you? Unless, of course, you’re craving for attention. Park this baby in front of your favorite Starbucks outlet and surely, even patrol cops will stop by to check if their uniform is in order. It’s that shiny.

Seriously, appearances aside, the SLS AMG GT3 is no narcissistic weakling. This baby is capable of going head to head with any eight-banger out there.
