The Mille Miglia, which means “Thousand Miles” in Italian, was prestigious open-road endurance race. It was held in Italy from 1927 to 1957. The race was stopped in 1957 after two fatal crashes that claimed the lives of drivers, co-driver and spectators. Then, it was resumed in 1958 to 1961, and in 1977 to commemorate its golden year. Another Mille Miglia event is being conducted again this year, which already started in May 15, and it will continue up to May 18. Mercedes-Benz is the official partner of the prestigious event.
