Hear The Carlsson-Tuned Mercedes-Benz SLK 340 Roar

The sound of the engine of a sports car speeding along a track is music to the ears of many vehicle enthusiasts. A video was posted recently demonstrating the brutal sound coming out of the 3.4-liter naturally-aspirated engine of the Carlsson-tuned Mercedes-Benz SLK 340, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. The SLK 340 Carlsson worked on was initially unveiled during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The tuner lowered the ride height of the SLK to bring it closer to the asphalt while maintaining its posture. Zolland Design, famous for putting a retro kit on the Porsche 911, recently came up with another ambitious project using the fifth generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL. Weeks ago, the company revealed a computer rendered version of the SL. However, as seen in the pictures here, the resulting product carried on the look of the classic Pagoda version of the SL. Wife Reunited With Mercedes SL for Mother’s Day

Everyone remembers their first car fondly, even if it was an old piece of junk or rust-bucket that you could barely afford. Once you’ve outgrown your first car, though, there is always your ‘first love’—the car that you scraped and scrimped and begged and borrowed to get your hands on, that you polished and kept as perfectly clean as possible, while swearing you’d never trade it in for another car. For one wife and mother, that car was a bright red 1985 Mercedes SL coupe. A Love Story in the Making When Julio Sanchez met his wife in the 1990s, one of the first things he noticed was the car… Continue Reading »

The styling treatment given by the German tuning specialist on the SL63 AMG may convert some of the critics of the luxury roadster. Even though the tuner did not give the SL63 AMG a complete makeover, it was enough to make it look somewhat impressive. Modified Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster Of Michael Schumacher Available For Sale

A 1986 Mercedes-Benz SL roadster was put up for sale with a price tag of around $334,000 or €300,000, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. The price may appear too high, but this particular SL-Class has gone through the hands of AMG, which essentially increased its value. Another thing to consider is the fact that these changes were requested by racing legend Michael Schumacher. This particular 560SL now features a 6.0-liter V8 engine after AMG replaced its original engine. The new engine is the same one used on the 300E 6.0 facelift. It was also given a number of other modifications as requested by Schumacher. It seems this model… Continue Reading »
