We all love the rumor-mill, especially when we start guessing and talking like we know what they are up to. Well Mercedes has just given us some more rumors and speculations to talk about with the filing of a trademark on a CLC-Class name. It seems that they are planning to introduce a model withe CLC name which could either be the new Ocean Drive that was official introduced by DCX and will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, or it could be a convertible CL that came out about a month ago. The CLC-class trademark was registered for both class 012 – Automobiles and their structural parts, but also class 028 – Toy model vehicles.

So what do we conclude, nothing really, it is too early to tell, maybe they’re just going to use it to make toy model vehicles, which I doubt. It could also be that the C at the end stands for a CL “Convertible” or “Cabriolet.” This could definitely be a possibility, since the new Ocean Drive Concept would not fit that name.

Mercedes-Benz CL 55 drifting at Nurburgring

This is a very good “how-to” video for all those that don’t know how to drift (me included) and for those that want to have some fun, but not destroy the car. Maybe he is cheating a bit with the water tank in the trunk, but it is there to give him more fun and a better drift.

Fifth Gear reviews (wrecks) the S-Class AMG 65

This video is just unbelievable. Not only do they wreck the beautiful S-Class AMG 65, but they created the dorkiest show ever on Fifth Gear. Not only was I left with a hatred towards the guy, but the host was just as bad. If it weren’t for Tiff Needell and Jason Plato, I would definitely not what the show. Let’s hope they’ll keep her behind the table, where she can comment on the car at the end of a review, and not let here do any more reviews herself.

After months of great anticipation, Mercedes has finally officially introduced the S-Class convertible. Looking back at the computer illustrations, they weren’t that much of with the design, when looking at the CWWDesign I posted a week ago. The new Cabrio will have all the goodness the current S-class has, but with a new body design. At the North American Auto Show Detroit, Mercedes-Benz is adding to its reputation as a pioneer and design trendsetter among premium carmakers with the presentation of its Concept Ocean Drive four-door convertible. This study is a one-off creation by Mercedes-Benz which revives the tradition of large luxury convertibles. Not having to work to a design brief or production specifications left the designers free to get on with the job of developing the world’s most comfortable and elegant convertible.

The Concept Ocean Drive is an aweinspiring jewel on wheels. As a four-door convertible, it belongs in a luxury genre that has almost disappeared from our roads. Like the luxury convertibles of years gone by, this showpiece from Stuttgart features the maximum in elegance, lifestyle sophistication and exclusiveness. To put it another way, it represents automobile culture at its most attractive and desirable.

The one-off special has an all-new body with an almost classic flavor and with clearly defined lines and vibrant two-tone paintwork which are exceptionally charismatic. Although on one level the Concept Ocean Drive displays the restraint of an elite and aristocratic automobile, it is also an open invitation to go on a “top-less” cruise along the world’s finest ocean promenades. Luxurious, exotic materials have been crafted with consummate skill to create a showpiece of unparalleled perfection.

Mercedes CL Flash Game Challenge

flashgame.thumbnail Mercedes CL Flash Game Challenge
Are you into wasting time during working hours, If yes, then I have something you’ll definitely like. Mercedes has developed a small flash game for the AMG and CL lovers out there. I myself have played the game, and as a flash game expert, I can tell you that this is definitely one of the better ones on the internet. Head over to the AMG site and take the CL for a test drive, but be careful it is kinda slippery on the snow, so try not to bump into the trees.
