F1: Hamilton finally wins one in Monaco

Lewis Hamilton finally managed to win a race in the 2016 Formula One season, with a solid victory ahead of Daniel Ricciardo at the Monaco Grand Prix. This was an exceptionally important outing for Hamilton after his fateful crash with teammate Nico Rosberg at the opening lap of the previous race. Hamilton was able to hold on to the first spot thanks in part to a pit stop blunder by Red Bull in lap 33, with the pit crew apparently not ready to receive Ricciardo and thus costing the driver a considerable amount of time. All-Women Team Represent Mercedes-Benz in Mille Miglia

An all-women team will be representing Mercedes-Benz Classic in the upcoming Mille Miglia. According to Daimler, race car driver and new brand ambassador of “She’s Mercedes” Susie Wolff will be riding in the cockpit of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W198) with the legendary driver Ellen Lohr who is the only woman to ever win a DTM race. The company said that the decision to have the two women represent Mercedes is to highlight the “She’s Mercedes” program. The initiative uses an Internet platform to build a network that will let successful women to share their views, ideas, and contacts. F1: Epic crash knocks out both Mercedes cars in lap 1 of Spanish Grand Prix

Well, that escalated quickly. Lap one of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix saw a Mercedes on Mercedes crash, taking out the top two contenders in the season so far. This paved the way for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to be the youngest race winner in Formula One history.  Right after the start, Hamilton was able to get ahead of Rosberg but the German managed to snag back the lead by turn 3. What Lewis Hamilton has to do to win the Spanish Grand Prix

So far in 2016, Lewis Hamilton has not had much luck. The defending Formula One drivers champion hasn’t won a race in four tries, struggling with reliability issues on his F1 W07 Hybrid multiple times. F1: Mercedes’ Rosberg wins Bahrain Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg has now won five straight GPs, including the first two in the 2016 Formula One season. The Mercedes driver took the chequered flag comfortably, with a 10-second lead over second-placer Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari. Meanwhile, defending champion took the final podium slot 20 seconds behind the red car. As Rosberg had predicted, Hamilton was not really able to capitalize on his pole position. He dropped all the way to P9 after getting tangled with the Williams of Valtteri Bottas right on turn 1. F1: Hamilton takes pole in Bahrain; Mercedes to start in front row as Rosberg takes P2

Lewis Hamilton had to set the fastest lap at the Bahrain International Circuit in order to leapfrog Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg for pole position at the start of the 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend, as the two Silver Arrows were only 0.077 seconds apart. That makes it two front-row starts in two tries for Mercedes this season, but main rival Ferrari is not far behind. Rosberg’s time was 1:29.570, with Sebastian Vettel not too far behind at 1:30.012 and Kimi Raikkonen at 1:30.244 to qualify in P3 and P4, respectively. Hamilton’s time was 1:29.493. Mercedes-Benz Vans at the Aïcha des Gazelles 2016 rally

Mercedes-Benz Vans has sent four teams to the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles 2016 in Morocco, the world’s only off-road event exclusive to women. A total of 160 teams have entered for this year’s rally, which will last 10 days in Southern Morocco’s deserts. Each team, as in your standard rallies, is made up of two individuals.
