F1: Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton wins Bahrain Grand Prix; Rosberg takes third place

Lewis Hamilton continues to dominate the 2015 Formula One season, taking his third race win in the first four races after cruising to victory at the 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix. Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg was on pace to give the team a one-two finish, but lost P2 with one lap to go after a mistake that led to Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen taking second place. Raikkonen drove with great pace late in the race. In lap 56, Rosberg ran wide and Raikkonen took advantage to take P2 for another great finish by the Ferrari team. F1: Lewis Hamilton takes pole in Bahrain; Ferrari strong in qualifying

At the qualifying session for the 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was able to achieve another pole position while fending off the Ferrari drivers as well as his own Mercedes teammate. Hamilton posted 1:32.571 in Q3 to beat out Sebastian Vettel, who had a time of 1:32.982 for P2. Hamilton’s teammate Nico Rosberg (Q3 1:33.129) will start in the second row at P3 ahead of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen (1:33.227). The third row is all Williams, with Valtteri Bottas in P5 and Felipe Massa in P6. Mercedes lessons at the 2015 Chinese Grand Prix

The Chinese Grand Prix continues to be kind to Lewis Hamilton, as the Mercedes driver took the victory in this year’s race ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg. Here are some points that were evident with the race and the outcome. Lewis Hamilton cruised but still showed speed where it counted Hamilton recorded a Grand Chelem (or Grand Slam) at the 2015 Chinese Grand Prix, which means he took pole position in qualifying, recorded the race’s fastest lap, and won while leading from the opening lap up until the end of race. F1: Mercedes secures front-row start at Chinese GP

Lewis Hamilton did not waste any time trying to get back into the saddle after missing his chance at the last race. The defending F1 champ took pole position after a solid, tight qualifying run at the 2015 Chinese Grand Prix, while teammate Nico Rosberg took P2 for another Mercedes front-row start. Hamilton clinched his 41st career pole position by registering a lap time that was a mere 0.4 seconds better than that of Rosberg. It’s official: we have a competition in our hands for the 2015 Formula One season. Sebastian Vettel grabbed the victory at the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix ahead of the two Mercedes cars, showing that there’s a lot of work to be done by the defending constructors champion if it wants to fend off Ferrari this year. Ouch! 1955 Mercedes SLS 300 Smashes Into a 1959 Jaguar

Last Saturday, two iconic cars with a combined value of around £5 million were on a collision course during a qualifying race at the 73rd Goodwood Members’ Meeting. The two involved were a 1955 Mercedes SLS 300 “Porter Special” and a 1959 Lister-Jaguar “Knobbly”. According to Daily Mail, the 1955 Mercedes SLS 300 had an estimated value of £4 million while the Jaguar was priced at approximately £1 million. Both cars were left in a really bad shape after the incident on the Goodwood track.
