620 Mercedes-Benz Vans Ordered by Avis Budget Group

The Avis Budget Group, a car rental company in Southern Europe, has just placed an order for a whopping 620 Mercedes-Benz Vans, which include orders for Vito, Viano, and Sprinter models. The breakdown involves 335 units going to Avis’ operations in Spain, 250 to Italy, and 35 to Portugal. “We will deploy our new rental vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Vans at the most important locations in Southern Europe – in particular at airports and large cities,” said Ramon Biarnes, who heads the Avis Budget Group’s Sales and Marketing in the three aforementioned countries. “The high standard of comfort and reliability of the vans from Mercedes-Benz testifies to our performance orientation at Avis.”… Continue Reading »

Britain’s Network Rail to Use Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL as Staff Shuttle

British rail infrastructure operator Network Rail has just ordered a couple of Mercedes-Benz Vito 7-seater minibuses that will serve as the shuttle for its concierge team from its Westwood Leadership Development Centre, located on the outskirts of Coventry, to the Tile Hill station and back. That journey will be made numerous times daily, and the efficiency of the electric vans will definitely provide an advantage. Fujian Benz Opens Product Dev Center in China

Fujian Benz Automotive Corporation, a joint venture between Daimler and a number of Chinese partners that focus on van production, recently opened up a brand-new product development center in Fuzhou, China. Mercedes-Benz Vans chief Volker Mornhinweg noted that the opening of the facility is a significant milestone in the division’s growth strategy, dubbed ‘Vans goes global’. 50 Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL Vans Ordered by Danish Postal Service

The largest order for the Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL panel vans in Europe was just made by Post Danmark. A total of 50 units of the battery-powered electric vans will be delivered for the Danish postal service over the next few months.
