The image above just shows their amazing concept of the vehicle. Official: Mercedes-Benz Pickup in the Works

Mercedes-Benz recently revealed its plan to develop a luxury pickup truck. The project was unveiled by Voker Mornhinweg in Germany through a life-size clay model, according to Wall Street Journal. Based on the report, the Mercedes-Benz pickup will have an estimated carrying capacity of 2,200 pounds. The power of the vehicle will be provided by a four- or six-cylinder engine. Looking at the picture, the design appeared to have some of the styling elements of the GLA-Class and the brand’s vans. Mercedes-Benz Aksaray plant reaches 200,000-truck milestone

We love manufacturing plant milestones, and the latest one’s just in for Mercedes-Benz as the Aksaray, Turkey plant just rolled the 200,000th truck off its assembly lines. The milestone was graced by the presence of Dr Wolfgang Bernhard along with other top executives of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Mercedes-Benz Trucks chief Stefan Buchner noted the key role that the Aksaray facility plays in Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ production network. After all, there were 17,000 units sold by Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Turkey last year, and the country is the third-biggest truck market for the brand, surpassed only by Brazil and Germany. Mercedes-Benz Trucks Get the Blind Spot Assist

The Blind Spot Assist system is no longer new to Mercedes-Benz luxury cars and vans. The technology provides them added safety features when changing lanes. Daimler, recognizing the added benefit that the tech would provide to its trucks, has integrated the system into them. Early this month, the company premiered its first-ever Mercedes-Benz truck with the Blind Spot Assist. The Blind Spot Assist uses a strategically-placed short-range radar sensor located at the rear axle to scan the areas on the entire length of the truck whether it is in semi-trailer or in a trailer combination.
