The Mercedes-Benz Unimog that once belonged to Hollywood actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is being advertised as for sale in eBay. The truck is listed with a hefty $350,980.00 price tag. Schwarzenegger had the custom Mercedes Unimog assembled sometime in 2012. But in 2014, it was put up for sale in Germany. There is a little information of what happened between that period and the recent listing of the truck in eBay. So we are not sure about the person who bought the vehicle prior to this date. The Mercedes-Benz Unimog, along with the vans of its brand, is one of the favorites of outdoor enthusiasts. It’s because the truck is capable of accommodating a lot of customization options. Aside from its many potentials as a mode of transport, it can also be turned into a mobile home. One guy really took things further by transforming the massive vehicle into a mobile base that looks capable of handling even an atomic or zombie apocalypse while rechristening it as the KiraVan. The last time we saw a video of the Mercedes-Benz self-driving truck in action, it was during its unveiling. But its testing was only limited within its maker’s driving facility, and the only vehicles you can see along its way are its fellow three-pointed star branded autos. A few days ago, it was finally unleashed on the highway with actual traffic. The Mercedes-Benz Actros with partially automated driving features has finally been unleashed on the road. According to Daimler, the truck, equipped with the advanced Highway Pilot system, makes its first journey in public road. With the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg Winfried Kretschmann as a special guest, and guided by Daimler Board Member Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard, the Mercedes-Benz Actros is driven from A8 between Denkendorf and Stuttgart airport towards Karlsruhe. These aren’t just camper vans. These are “superlative camper vans” as Mercedes-Benz puts it. Recently, the three-pointed star marque featured its two fully-customized trucks at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. The models that starred in the show were the Mercedes-Benz Antos and Actros with interiors modified to function as mobile homes. Proving themselves as the best when it comes to harsh terrains and challenging environments, the Mercedes-Benz Unimog and Mercedes-Benz Zetros emerged victorious at the 2015 Wroclaw Poland extreme road rally, which is Europe’s biggest and most-demanding license-free off-road events. In the eight days pushing the participating vehicles to their limits, the Unimog captured two first places in the two racing categories it joined while the Zetros bagged one win in another class.
