The fourth generation of Mercedes’ Active Brake Assist will be fitted in the Mercedes-Benz Econic, a waste collection vehicle in Germany. Premium Setra Bus Highlighted in Daimler’s Poster Calendar

Daimler revealed through its Global Media Site that it will be highlighting the Setra bus in its new poster calendar for 2017. The calendar features 12 artistic photos depicting the vehicle’s production process and the Setra Customer Centre. The title of the Setra poster calendar is “Stand by.” All the photos were taken at night in the Mannheim and Neu-Ulm plants of the bus. The artistic night shots aim to elicit dreamy emotions to the viewers. Each month of the calendar shows the heart of manufacturing at Setra. Called the Mercedes-Benz GLT, the video said the vehicle will make its world premiere on October 25, 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. Mercedes-Benz Launched Construction Vehicles At 66th IAA

Mercedes-Benz presented a fleet of two-, three- and four-axle chassis, tractor units and tippers for the construction industry and ancillary trades at the 66th IAA International Motor Show. These models showed that Mercedes is ready to feature vehicles that are technically innovative and have advanced customer-oriented capacities. At the center of the fleet is the Arocs, a specialist construction vehicle that is available in two-, three- and four-axles with drive configurations from a 4×2 to an 8×8. Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Krone Develop Highly Efficient Semitrailer-Tractor

Mercedes-Benz Trucks and trailer manufacturer Krone worked together to develop this combination of trailer and tractor within the concept of “integrated approach,” aimed at reducing CO2 and reducing fuel consumption. This integrated approach involves everyone—commercial vehicle manufacturers, body/tyre suppliers, logistics companies and political decision-makers—in the haulage sector to play a part in reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emission of up to 20 percent compared to existing combinations. The basis of such a comparison was a 2014 standard semitrailer-tractor combination that was able to save up to 14 percent on fuel.
