Solid 2012 Figures for Mercedes-Benz Vans

Mercedes-Benz Vans had a good 2012. While the sales figures and revenues posted by the division was not quite equal to the 2011 numbers, last year was still good enough to be the third-best annual operating result. The 2012 sales were down 4% compared to 2011, with 252,400 units sold last year compared to 264,200 the year prior. As for revenue, it was at around $11.8 billion (€9,070 million), almost the same as 2011 revenue (€9,179 million). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) is pegged at €541 million, a 35-percent drop from 2011’s €835 million.
