UPS to upgrade to Mercedes-Benz Sprinter delivery vans

UPS will soon be adding the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to its fleet of delivery vans, an upgrade from the recently discontinued Mercedes-Benz Vario line of heavy commercial vans. To be more specific, UPS has ordered the new Sprinter 513 BlueTec model to replace the Vario. The 127 horsepower van is the result of development that was made together between Mercedes-Benz, UPS, and Spier the body manufacturer. It seems the new recall of Mercedes-Benz, which was announced a few days ago, does not only cover the E-Class, M-Class, and GLK-Class ranges as we reported earlier. According to Reuters Canada, even the commercial vans of the three-pointed star brand were affected. The report said Mercedes-Benz is recalling 8,729 of its Sprinter vans in the United States.
