Since the early half of this year, we have been continuously teased with spy shots of the new Mercedes-Benz SLC. This time, the car was caught on video again, which you can see below. The upcoming two-door is a facelifted version. Originally, it was called the SLK, but following the renaming of its brand’s core series, it now has the SLC model name. According to WorldCarFans, the updated Mercedes-Benz SLC will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January. The spy video here shows the car with only a little camouflage in its bumpers, lights, grille and logo. Rendering Of Porsche 911 Rival From Mercedes-Benz Released

Someone from Top Speed revealed that the company created a rendering of a car that was initially called the SLC AMG. The upcoming vehicle is reportedly designed to go up against the Porsche 911. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was supposed to the vehicle that will take on the 911. However, a number of industry watchers indicated that the curb weight of 1,620 kg of the SLS may not be enough to take on the 1,415 kg of the Porsche 911 Carrera. News sources say that a new sub-SLS AMG Mercedes sports car prototype has been spotted recently. Being only a prototype, there are no definite predictions regarding when will the car finally make its debut or if its end product will even see the light of day. According to Autoblog, the new SLS AMG prototype appeared to be smaller than the current SLS AMG model of the famous German automaker. SLC Greenlighted For 2016 Release

The news out of Germany confirms that Mercedes-Benz will be releasing a Porsche 911 fighter come 2016, to be called the SLC. Despite having a lot of sporty 2-door models, Mercedes really doesn’t have a dedicated fighter to the 911, and the SLC is being aimed to be that model. Tentative pricing rumors slot the SLC between a Carrera S and a 4S. To do battle with the Porsche icon, Mercedes has announced that the SLC will be equipped with a twin turbo V8.  This engine will be a new AMG development called the M177, which will boast of an output of 485 horsepower. For the first time in the company’s history stretching back over 40 years, the Mercedes-Benz performance brand is presenting a vehicle developed in-house, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. An AMG 6.3-liter V8 front-mid engine will be developing 571 hp/420 kW peak output and dry sump lubrication, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission in a transaxle configuration and sports suspension with aluminium double wishbones. The ideal front/rear weight distribution of 48 to 52% and the vehicle’s low center of gravity. The newly developed, optional ceramic composite brakes with larger brake discs guarantee even better brake performance and lower unsprung masses. You don’t see this everyday – high resolution promo pictures of a test mule in heavy camo. Mercedes-Benz has decided to shell some light and release official details of their upcoming replacement to the SLR – the SLC Gullwing. Nope scratch that, it will actually be called the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The SLS (Gullwing) will be smaller than the outgoing SLR, which in addition to the all-new aluminum space frame contributes to a weight of just 3,571 lbs, a full 300 lbs less than the SLR McLaren. Is Mercedes-Benz prepping a new low-end Gullwing? Well according to AutoExpress, Mercedes has plans to bring a new SLK Gullwing to the masses, which may look very similar to its bigger brother, the SLC Gullwing. Besides having some amazing gullwing doors, and draw inspiration from the legendary 300SL, it is also supposed to be hybrid. With some very muscular lines, it will be a big change compared to the current SLK (which women love to drive).
