The Mercedes-AMG GT is the first to drop the “Benz” name under the current lineup of the brand. Then, it is the second car to be produced from scratch by the performance division of Daimler following the SLS. What the Hell is This Mercedes-Benz Ad All About

The YouTube channel of Mercedes-Benz Vans uploaded a new ad for the Vito last October 2. The title of the video was “Dirty Driving”. If you think that the Mario Kart 8-themed ad of the Mercedes-Benz GLA was hideous enough, this ad would probably top it off in terms of weirdness. While I had so much respect and admiration to the marketing division of the three-pointed star brand for bringing up awesome ads, this is just another proof that they are only human and they can also have their epic-fail moments. First, this Mercedes-Benz ad is just overly nostalgic, having to feature an 80’s song from a movie hit that even most people at their… Continue Reading »

Is the Renaming Strategy of Mercedes a Smart Move

In my previous article, it was revealed that Mercedes-Benz is gradually implementing its renaming strategy. One of the affected would be the popular M-Class. Read the article here for more information on the story. I agree that the decision of Ola Kaellenius is very smart move, because it lets customers interrelate the products of the three-pointed star brand easily. It basically bridges a relationship between the larger variants of the German marque with their sedan counterparts. For example, the M-Class would be repackaged as the GLE to establish a connection with its more popular sedan cousin, which is the E-Class. It would also give more sense to the names of the different ranges of the brand,… Continue Reading »

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman is set to redefine ultra-luxury experience when it comes out some time in 2015. The Mercedes AMG GT Noise is More Imposing in Nurburgring

Don’t get us wrong, the engine sound clips released from the testing facility of the Mercedes AMG GT were awesome. The growl and purr of the car alone is enough to convince us that it indeed worthy of succeeding the Mercedes SLS AMG GT. But upon turning up the speakers while watching the spy video of the Mercedes AMG GT as it was tested in the endurance track of Nurburgring, one can hear the actual sound of the car when it is burning up tires. It should be noted that the sound clips before were only taken from the idle state of the vehicle at different revs. So, it is quite different this time…. Continue Reading »
