A Quick Review at the Mercedes-Benz B-Class

For a car starting at £21,500 (in UK) and $33,950 (in US), what can we expect from it? Here is a quick review of the overall features of the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class, which debuted in Paris early this month. Exterior The Mercedes-Benz B-Class did get a facelift. However, the changes in its design were only minor, and mostly at the front. A quick glimpse at the new B-Class and its predecessor would give the untrained eye a hard time differentiating the two. If you think that the Mario Kart 8-themed ad of the Mercedes-Benz GLA was hideous enough, this ad would probably top it off in terms of weirdness. While I had so much respect and admiration to the marketing division of the three-pointed star brand for bringing up awesome ads, this is just another proof that they are only human and they can also have their epic-fail moments. First, this Mercedes-Benz ad is just overly nostalgic, having to feature an 80’s song from a movie hit that even most people at their… Continue Reading »

Is the Renaming Strategy of Mercedes a Smart Move

In my previous article, it was revealed that Mercedes-Benz is gradually implementing its renaming strategy. One of the affected would be the popular M-Class. Read the article here for more information on the story. I agree that the decision of Ola Kaellenius is very smart move, because it lets customers interrelate the products of the three-pointed star brand easily. It basically bridges a relationship between the larger variants of the German marque with their sedan counterparts. For example, the M-Class would be repackaged as the GLE to establish a connection with its more popular sedan cousin, which is the E-Class. It would also give more sense to the names of the different ranges of the brand,… Continue Reading »

The 2015 Mercedes S-Class Coupe is considered to be the vehicle with the quietest interior in the world. According to Forbes, the cabin of the car almost feels like a vacuum. Even hushed conversations can be heard intelligibly inside the car. Teddy Woll, the chief engineer for aerodynamics in Mercedes, said that the new S-Class Coupe is 20 percent more silent than its predecessor in terms of wind noise. Then, it is 10 percent quieter than the S-Class sedan that… Continue Reading »
