McLaren Received a Ticket from an Officer in a smartfortwo

What happens if you race the McLaren, one of the fastest cars in the world, with another Daimler car, the smart? Well, no doubt, McLaren will win.

In a very ironic situation however, the smartfortwo seems to have won. But this is not a race. A police officer in the smallest and cheapest car in Daimler’s umbrella was seen writing a ticket for a parked Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster in Beverly Hills. What happened when the owner of the stickered car saw the ticket is unknown. Well, there is nothing he can do right?

It’s just funny, at least once, the smartfortwo wins.

This is embarassing. Imagine scooting around town in your badass Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren only to end up being handed a parking violation ticket by an officer driving a Smart car.

In case you’re wondering, a new SLR McLaren held a price tag of just over half a million dollars during its time. It seems the wealthy owner, self-titled “Prince of Germany”, was simply begging to get caught by displaying his ride in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The officers just happened to be driving along Beverly Hills, California in their Smart Fortwo when, lo and behold, there sitting in a no-parking zone was the 617hp supercar dressed up in Hugo Boss and Vodafone decals.

Too bad the SLR McLaren’s AMG-tuned V8 engine was rendered helpless right beside the Fortwo whose 1-liter 3-cylinder inline engine hummed silently in mockery.

So remember folks, whether you’re driving around town in an SLR McLaren or SLS AMG, make sure you park it properly ayt? Now check out the video.

McLaren Mercedes SLR 722 GTB by Sievers

Launched at the 2011 Essen Show is this McLaren Mercedes by Sievers. Based on the already powerful SLR 722, Sievers has bumped the output of this car to a heady 814 horsepower. And while they were at it, the tuner also found enough weight savings to trim the car down to the 1,500 kilo range. Sievers hasn’t released any numbers but horsepower calculators you’ll find online predict a sub-3.5 second 0-60 mph time.  Although these numbers would make you think that this is a race car, it is in fact street legal.

The only numbers the chief executive officer would release were the top speed of over 350 kilometers per hour and a price tag of 1.9 million Euros.  Not exactly a Black Friday special, but then again, Sievers, or for that matter, Mercedes, doesn’t make enough of this exclusive toy that you can find them in any Mercedes showroom.

Lewis Hamilton to race against this year’s Summer Driving Challenge survivors

Wondering what to do for your next summer vacation? How about being part of Mercedes-Benz’s biggest summer holiday programme yet? To be held in its brand experience center around Weybridge, Surrey, the event offers several attractions that are sure to win the hearts of Mercedes-Benz fans everywhere.

To begin with, the Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy will be setting up guests to drive along with 2008 Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. It’s not going to be a leisurely drive though, as Lewis is unlikely to take things easily behind the wheel. If you win, though, no doubt you will be immortalized as the guest who beat Lewis Hamilton to the checkered flag. That’ll be the event’s highlight. A series of challenges will see who gets to team up against Lewis in the finale.

Off road lovers, meanwhile, will be able to take the M-Class for a spin outdoors—all 10 acres of it—alongside a professional driver manning the secondary controls to the SUV. This attraction is appropriately called the Kids 4×4 Driving Experience, probably to bring out the outdoor-loving kid in you.

Dubbed the ‘Summer Challenge’, it will all boil down to a hundred top scorers who’ll be returning on September 4 in teams to compete in the Grand Finale with Lewis. So suit up and get your family in high gear. It’s going to be one big summer party with Mercedes-Benz.

A Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren can’t save you from danger

An unidentified Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren car owner in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was speeding through a corner and suddenly lost control going head to head with the pavement. As you can see on the picture above it is not a pretty sight.

Apparently, that man wanted to dance with the devil and the devil, not so politely, rejected the invitation by slamming him to a stop. Miraculously, the man was unharmed during this debacle.

Hope this serves a lesson to all of us. Most especially the reckless drivers, who doesn’t know the meaning of the phrase “Slow Down”. Speeding is one of the biggest factors that contributes to car accidents and probably the most tempting thing to do while driving a supercar. It is a thrill to drive a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren but please…. drive carefully. This is not only to protect your prestigious car but your valuable life as well.
