Lewis Hamilton Says His Mercedes Contract Negotiation is a Pain

“A pain in the back side.” That’s how Lewis Hamilton recently described his ongoing contract renewal negotiations with Mercedes is going. According to UK’s The Guardian, the reigning Formula One World Champion hinted that with the hassles he is facing now in his talks with Mercedes as regards to his new contract, he is contemplating of not taking over the whole negotiation process again in the future. F1: Malaysian GP – Mercedes finishes 2, 3 as Vettel grabs race win

It’s official: we have a competition in our hands for the 2015 Formula One season. Sebastian Vettel grabbed the victory at the 2015 Malaysian Grand Prix ahead of the two Mercedes cars, showing that there’s a lot of work to be done by the defending constructors champion if it wants to fend off Ferrari this year. Lewis Hamilton failed to convert a pole position into a race victory for the first time in the last eight poles, but still finished second while Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg took the third and final spot on the podium at the Sepang Circuit. Hamilton finished a whopping 8.57 seconds behind the Ferrari, though. There was… Continue Reading »

F1: Malaysian GP qualifying – Mercedes’ Hamilton takes pole; Rosberg in P3

Don’t look now, but Ferrari’s trying to spoil the party. Lewis Hamilton will start the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday in pole position, after edging out Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg took P3 on the starting grid after a rainy qualifying session. The three Q3 times for the top 3 qualifiers were close: Hamilton posted 1:49.834, Vettel 1:49.908, and Rosberg 1:50.299. Hamilton actually set that time on his initial flying lap and never actually got to improve it, allowing Vettel to edge a bit too close for comfort. In the end, though, Hamilton was able to clinch his 40th career F1 pole position. Meanwhile, surrendering P2 to the Ferrari means ending a… Continue Reading »

Lewis Hamilton Reacts to Engine Equalization Proposals

Lewis Hamilton appeared to be in high spirits lately. Well, if you had the World Championship in your current record plus a perfect start in the 2015 season, who wouldn’t be? But of course, being on top of the game would always give you that big bullseye on your back from rivaling drivers, competing teams and critics. One of the major issues raised by competitors (a special mention to Red Bull) is that the dominance of Mercedes-AMG Petronas in Formula One since last year has made the races boring. Thus, there have been calls for engine equalization to get the competition closer. According to Hamilton, going through the engine equalization right now would be… Continue Reading »

Red Bull Continues to Whine Over Mercedes’ Formula One Dominance

The Formula One season just started but everyone is hearing Red Bull whine over the dominance of Mercedes-AMG Petronas again. It came to a point wherein Toto Wolff already got irritated. “Get your f*****g head down and work to sort it out,” told the annoyed Motorsport director of Mercedes to their rival. Wolff was quick to clear out that the “F” word was not intended for the Red Bull boss though,. It should be noted that Christian Horner, Helmut Marko, and Daniel Ricciardo have been singing the same tune over and over again about how the interest in the sport would wane if the FIA does not come up with ways to level… Continue Reading »
