Mercedes Dedicates Australian Grand Prix Victory to Michael Schumacher

During Toto Wolff’s interview in Melbourne just after Nico Rosberg won the race in the Australian Grand Prix, he released a statement saying that the race is very meaningful for them as a team, and they are dedicating their victory to Michael Schumacher. He expressed his confidence too that their former driver will make it through his condition. “He will keep fighting, as only he knows how, and we are sending all our strength to him,” Wolff said in his interview with The Independent. Nico Rosberg Wins Australian Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg won the Australian Grand Prix held in Melbourne tonight. His victory came three decades after his father Keke won the inaugural Formula One event in Adelaide in 1985. The young German driver of Mercedes team started third in the grid. However, he suddenly gained the first position upon arriving at the first turn of the race. From there, he was able to maintain to his place which eventually led to his victory. Following Rosberg were Daniel Ricciardo and Kevin Magnussen in the second and third ranks, respectively. Toto Wolff is Gradually Distancing Mercedes from McLaren

The year just started and the Formula One season hasn’t commenced yet but Honda is already making “steady progress” on the development of the new 1.6-liter V6 engine that will be powering the McLaren car next year. Michael Schumacher Still Not Responding to Stimuli

Before the year ended, a tragic accident befell Michael Schumacher during a skiing activity that came as a shock the Formula 1 community. The unfortunate event rendered the seven-time F1 champion in a critical condition which forced doctors to put him into a medically-induced coma.
