Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains bags Dewar Trophy for F1 power unit design

Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) was awarded the 2014 Dewar Trophy, the most prestigious engineering accolade in British automotive engineering awarded by the Royal Automobile Club, for the PU106A Hybrid Formula One Power Unit that was designed, developed, and built fully in HPP’s facilities in Brixworth. This year marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sir Thomas Dewar, for which the trophy is named. 2014 also marks ‘120 years of motorsport success for Mercedes-Benz’ and is a major technological turning point in Formula 1 with the introduction of the new power units. 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220SL Showcased at Motorclassica

The Motorclassica show is one of the must-see events that every car enthusiast should not miss, especially if you are located in Melbourne, Australia. In its opening-day, the audience were in for a treat as the ultra-rare 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220SL was showcased there. Brabus Tunes the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG

Brabus recently released its new tuning package for the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG. According to Auto Zeitung, the new package of the German aftermarket tuning firm for the SUV includes a couple of aerodynamics and styling configurations, plus a boost in the engine output. Taking a peek under the hood of the vehicle, the Brabus PowerXtra CGI kit enhances its engine output to a maximum of 400 hp and its torque is increased to a whopping 500 Nm. Mercedes S550 Premium Sports Edition Goes to Japan

Japan is once again the country that will get a limited-edition Mercedes. Recently, the German automaker announced that it will launch its S550 Premium Sports Edition in the country. According to the company, only 200 units of the Mercedes S550 Premium Sports Edition will be made and exclusively offered in Japan. The pricing of each unit starts at ¥18,100,000 or approximately $168,755 based from the conversion tool of Google.
