From a Sketch to the Road: The Mercedes-Benz Design Process

All car designers share the same passion for innovation, functionality, adventure and attention to detail. At Mercedes-Benz they also have the time to explore, to try new ideas and even make mistakes along the way. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is considered as the least exciting model ever produced by the German luxury vehicle manufacturer. But, RENNtech was able to modify one of these luxury vans to make it like something the Hulk would drive, not that the Hulk would need a vehicle, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. The concept, which is called the Sprinter Extreme, is not actually based on the luxury van. Instead it was created using the chassis of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Cab, which already allows it to haul loads of around 6,400 lbs and tow around 7,500 lbs of load. The open chassis design allows it to have suitable space for… Continue Reading »

Wide Bodied Mercedes-Benz S-Class Estate Rendered

The imagination and creativity of Rain Prisk is magnificently brilliant that he may be considered as the automobile industry’s Quentin Tarantino. The latest project of the designer that caught the attention of industry watchers is a Mercedes-Benz S-Class Estate with a wider than usual body kit, as shown on a report from motorward.com. The design itself can be considered too outrageous for decent car owners to use on their vehicles. However, it should be noted that this is a simple rendering based on the imagination of the designer, which means its main aim is to look at how far his creativity can take hm. The rendering actually makes the Estate… Continue Reading »
