Mercedes-Benz Reached Agreement With Chery Automobile Over Use Of EQ Brand

Mercedes-Benz has finally reached an agreement with Chinese company Chery Automobiles over the use of the EQ brand for its electric vehicles. The German automaker is now cleared to use EQ as a badge to their electric vehicles lineup. As reported earlier this year, Chery Automobiles filed a case before China’s trademark regulator because of Mercedes-Benz’s plan of using the EQ brand name. It was only last year when the German car manufacturer announced that it would create an EQ brand to categorize its future electric vehicles, services, and technologies. Brace Yourself for the Mercedes-Benz X-Class Pickup on July 18

After releasing a teaser video for the upcoming Mercedes-Benz X-Class, the brand with the three-pointed star logo recently announced that the pickup will debut on July 18. Though it won’t be available in the United States for now, Mercedes boss Dieter Zetsche said anything is possible in the future. Mercedes enthusiasts from U.S. should start crossing their fingers. Half-Year Mercedes-Benz Sales Break Company Record

The luxury division of Daimler continues its success when it comes to vehicle deliveries to customers. From January to June of 2017, Mercedes-Benz sales broke the records it set within the company during the previous years. According to Daimler, the early half-year Mercedes-Benz sales of 2017 increased by 13.7% compared to the performance of the brand in the same period of last year. The overall sales of its luxury vehicles in the first six months of the current year numbered up to 1,144,274 units. Mercedes-Benz Sales Rise by a Double-Digit Rate for May

Mercedes-Benz sales once again displayed a double-digit growth for the month of May. The E-Class range of the brand showed a very high demand from customers. According to the press release of Daimler, Mercedes sold 193,741 premium vehicles worldwide in May. The figures translate to a 13.5% growth compared to the same month of last year. Mercedes-Benz Ditches Diesel in the US for 2017

Mercedes-Benz is ditching its plans for diesel models in the United States of America this year. The move is due to the tight regulations set forth by the country’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) following the scandal in the diesel segment of the automotive industry back in 2015. According to Reuters, Daimler AG announced that Mercedes will not be seeking EPA certification for its diesel models at least for the current year.
