The Mercedes-Benz Museum located in Stuttgart, Germany will house one of the most important auctions in the history of the brand. According to CTV News, the public sale at the 16,500 square meter exhibition space of the luxury brand’s own museum will be held on July 12, 2014. Aston Martin Planning to Make Luxury SUVs Using Mercedes Platform

There have been rumors circulating around the Internet that the collaboration of Aston Martin with Daimler will not only benefit the British brand’s supercars. According to Reuters, citing a report from Financial Times, discussions between Aston Martin and Mercedes have been taking place for a possible development of an Aston Martin luxury SUV, which will probably carry a Mercedes platform. The source said that the first luxury SUV of the British supercar brand might hit showrooms within three to four years. Mercedes-Benz introduces CLA-Class in Malaysia

Somewhere between practice and winning the 2014 Malaysian Grand Prix, Mercedes-Benz was still able to launch the CLA-Class in Malaysia last Saturday, right at a party for its Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team. It was confirmed that the CLA 200 as well as the CLA 45 AMG will be available for prospective buyers in the country. The estimated price for the two models are as follows: RM235,888 (around $72,250)for the CLA 200, and RM400,000 (around $122,500) for the CLA 45 AMG variant. Mercedes-Benz to double Beijing plant capacity

As demand continues to soar for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, parent company Daimler is set to invest some more into its Beijing factory in order to double production capacity. According to a Bloomberg report, Daimler and its JV partner Beijing Automotive Group will invest a whoppping 1 billion euros (around $1.38 billion) for the expansion that will see the plant produce up to 200,000 vehicles in 2015. The Beijing facility currently produces Mercedes-Benz C-Class, E-Class, and GLK vehicles. The sedans, in particular, are enjoying great demand. Mercedes-Benz Showed the Least Recall Rate in the US Says Research

A 30-year study that focused on the safety of vehicles in the US revealed that Mercedes-Benz had the lowest recorded recall rate. According to Reuters, the research was conducted by a Woburn, Massachusetts-based firm called iSeeCars. The study reviewed 15 major automakers operating in the US. The methodology of the long-term study compared the number of vehicles recalled from 1985 to 2014 with the number of cars sold within 1980 to 2013. Based on the data, Mercedes-Benz recalls vehicles at a rate of 0.41. That means Mercedes recalls 41 vehicles for every 100 units sold.
