Mercedes-Benz Performs Well Amid the Turbulence in Chinese Market

Notwithstanding the current turbulence in the luxury car segment of China, Mercedes-Benz posted a two-digit percentage increase in its sales there in July. According to a report on Bloomberg, the three-pointed star brand recorded a 42 percent increase in deliveries in the giant Asian country. The sales of Mercedes in the region amounted to 29,540 cars. The continuing success of the brand in the country was attributed to the increase in the demand for its C-Class sedan and compact cars. Mercedes-Benz Sees Good Sales in China in the Second Half of 2015

Mercedes-Benz is looking to close the year with good sales in China. This is amid the problems experienced by its rival luxury carmakers in the region. Ola Kaellenius, a member of the Board of Management of Daimler and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing and Sales, stated in an interview with online magazine Boerse Online that the three-pointed star brand will enjoy favorable sales in China, which is considered to be the biggest luxury car market in the world.
