Price Of 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec Revealed

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec will finally become available in dealerships one year after it was initially unveiled during the New York Auto Show in 2012. The base price of the GLK250 is at $38,590 although a destination charge of $905 is not yet included. Buyers who are looking to purchase the gas-powered variant of the compact diesel crossover will have to pay another $1,500 over the base price of the luxury vehicle. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec will feature a four-cylinder 2.1-liter diesel engine that produces 200HP and a torque of 369 lb-ft. The vehicle also features the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz Integro touring coach lineup is set to feature a fresh range of BlueEfficiency Power engines geared toward meeting the Euro VI emissions standards. This way, the coaches become more economic as far as fuel consumption goes, and the exhaust emissions are also reduced. The six-cylinder BlueEfficiency Power engines are vertically installed in-line units, with the OM 936 series used for two-axel models and OM 470 series for three-axle models. Both sport common-rail injection systems, with the latter getting injection pressure from a pressure-booster-equipped X-PULSE injection system. Recently, Auto Test, a Germen automotive publication, awarded two Mercedes-Benz vehicles—the B200 Natural Gas Drive and the ML 250 BlueTec 4MATIC—as the greenest cars in their respective classes, dubbing them “Winners in Green.” The ML 250 BlueTec 4MATIC topped the SUV category thanks to its energy-efficient yet uncompromising direct-injection engine that goes for 204 horsepower. Hybrid vehicles make it to the mainstream news on a regular basis these days, touting their green advantages and all that. Normally, hybrids are associated with frugal daily drivers, although hybrid sports cars seem to be in our immediate future too. Now, a municipal transport operator in Munster, Germany has begun running a pair of hybrid buses supplied by Mercedes-Benz. Last August 27, a ceremonial handover of two Mercedes-Benz Citaro G BlueTec Hybrid buses was made to vehicles to Eckhard Schläfke of the Münster municipal transport service. Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID Awarded A+ Efficiency Rating, Environmental Certificate

The Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID has just been awarded a Class A+ energy efficiency rating along with an Environmental Certificate after going through the TUV Sud Life Cycle Assessment. The vehicle passed the tests conducted by the independent inspection body. It has been projected that the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID produces 23 percent less CO2 emissions compared to an E 300 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY. That’s over the vehicle’s life cycle, from being a finished vehicle to being used for over 250,000 kilometers, and even through to recovery. Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class Petrol Engines Already Meet Euro 6 Standard

The Euro 6 vehicle emissions standard won’t be in place until September 1, 2014, but right now, the petrol engines for the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class and B-Class vehicles already pass those requirements. In addition, the engines are also good enough to meet new limits placed on petrol engines due 2017. The models include the A 180, the A 200, and the A 250, together with their B-Class counterparts.
