BAIC Debuts a Mercedes-Benz G-Class Rip-Off

Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd., known simply as BAIC, launched a new ride at the recently-held Shanghai Auto Show. The Chinese automaker called it the BAIC BJ80C. Now, what is this doing on a Mercedes-Benz blog site? Well, as seen in the photo above and in the gallery below, the designers of the product almost entirely copied the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. It will not take a second glance to arrive at the generalization that the BAIC BJ80C is the Chinese clone of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class. This Beijing Auto BJ100 Uses the Mercedes GLK Platform

Would you believe that the mammoth Sport Utility Vehicle above, called the Beijing Auto BJ100, was based from the China-made Mercedes GLK? According to CarNewsChina, the chiseled vehicle was indeed based from our beloved SUV with the three-pointed star logo. The BJ100 debuted at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show in its concept form. The targeted production of the SUV is next year. The source claimed this abomination was made by Beijing Auto, and its platform utilized the one used by the Mercedes GLK that is manufactured in China by Beijing-Benz. Mercedes Vision G-Code Crossover Concept Unveiled

Coinciding with the opening of the Mercedes-Benz R&D center in Beijing, China, the three-pointed star brand also released its new subcompact crossover concept dubbed as the Mercedes Vision G-Code. According to the press release of the company, the concept crossover aims to attract younger Asians into the brand. Shorter than the Mercedes GLA Based from the images and information provided by the German automaker, the G-Code will be designed as a Sports Utility Coupe. Daimler has high hopes for Denza EV in China

It’s been a few months since Daimler held the world premiere of its Denza electric vehicle, the highly anticipated product of its joint venture with Chinese company BYD. Two Well-Maintained W202 Mercedes C-Class Spotted in China

The W202 Mercedes C-Class hit the production line in 1993 under a 1994 model year. Its platform was retired in 2000 to make way for the W203 models. The Mercedes SLR McLaren is supposed to be hard to come by in China because the car was never officially exported to the region.
