1957 Mercedes-Benz 220SL Showcased at Motorclassica

The Motorclassica show is one of the must-see events that every car enthusiast should not miss, especially if you are located in Melbourne, Australia. In its opening-day, the audience were in for a treat as the ultra-rare 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220SL was showcased there. Daimler confirmed the star of the show is one of the four experimental 220SL prototypes made by the three-pointed star brand. The one shown in Motorclassica is thought to be the only one in existence now. The Mercedes-Benz S600 Maybach Gets Simultaneous World Premieres

In our earlier report about the Mercedes-Benz S600 Maybach, we mentioned that it would have its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month. However, based on a new information, the upcoming variant would have two world premieres on the opposite sides of the globe. The new S-Class version resurrecting the Maybach namesake will also have its official unveiling happening in an Auto Fair held in Guangzhou, China next month—almost at the same time with the LA event. Face-lifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class Makes An Appearance In Paris

The face-lifted 2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class made an appearance at the Paris Motor Show, according to a recent report from worldcarfans.com. The appearance comes at the heels of its online launch last month by the luxury vehicle manufacturer. The compact MPV basically maintained many of the design aspects with a few exceptions including an update front grille along with the integration of DRLs into the headlight cluster. Although the B-Class can feature LED High Performance headlamps, they lack compatibility with the Electric Drive model of the luxury vehicle. Mercedes-AMG C63 Unveiled in Paris

The originally thought Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG was finally unveiled in the Paris Motor Show. However, the car now sports a new name, which is Mercedes-AMG C63. It is the second car to adopt solely the “Mercedes-AMG” name—dropping the “Mercedes-Benz” moniker—following the GT sports coupe. As reported earlier, the car shares the same engine with the Mercedes-AMG GT. A 4.0-liter biturbo V8 replaces the outgoing Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG’s 6.2-liter naturally aspirated engine. The new Mercedes-AMG C63 features two engine options. The standard model has a downsized output of 469 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz has proven it once more that it has nothing but the best in the automotive industry. The luxury car brand bagged high scores in the recent Automotive Brand Contest. The international competition gave special recognition to the current C-Class, S-Class, V-Class in its “Best of the Best” award for achieving the highest scores in terms of design. Mercedes-Benz to Reveal New Technology at Paris Motor Show

Daimler, specifically its Mercedes-Benz brand, has a lot of things under its plate right now. Just last month, it unveiled the Mercedes-AMG GT, Mercedes-AMG GT S, facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class, and Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025, among others. According to various sources, the brand showed no plans of slowing down this month. It is planning to premiere new products in the upcoming 2014 Paris Motor Show such as the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz V250 BlueTEC 4Matic, and the Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1. Mercedes-Benz V250 BlueTEC 4Matic Debuts in Paris Next Month

A new model in the V-Class lineup will hit markets soon. According to Inautonews, the Mercedes-Benz V250 BlueTEC 4Matic model will debut in the 2014 Paris Motor Show next month. Based from the source, the newest addition to the V-Class range gets its power from a 2.1-liter four-cylinder engine. The total output of the van will be somewhere around 190 hp and its peak torque will be at 324 lb-ft. The power is distributed through a 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission.
