One Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been getting plenty of attention lately. It’s primarily because of its high-profile job of chauffeuring the remains of Queen Elizabeth II. The other reason is that the choice of the first hearse for Her Majesty is not British at all. According to a report, the hearse carrying the coffin of the departed queen was custom-built by German coachbuilder Binz. The car is based on the W121 series of the E-Class wagon produced between 2009 and 2016. The custom E-Class by Binz was made using metal pressings coming from the supplier of Mercedes itself. It’s clear by now that the Mercedes-Benz CLE will be replacing both the coupe and cabrio variants of the C-Class and E-Class. The car is unrelenting in its testing as it is expected to make its debut before the year ends as a 2023 model year series. After a series of leaks via spy shots and official hints from the three-pointed star marque, we now know that the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLE and next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class are in the works. Recently, both cars have been spied in a single video. The cars are still in heavy zebra camouflage making it hard to see what Merc has in store for us with respect to the upcoming CLE and next-gen E-Class. Previous spy shots of the ruggedly camouflaged prototype of the rumored Mercedes-Benz CLE convertible early on have left us wondering whether or not it will also have a coupe version. A new video just unofficially gave us the answer to this question. A new spy video from the ever-reliable walkoART recently showed a fleet of what looks like Mercedes-Benz CLE cars being tested.
