Mercedes Reveals 2014 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet

After revealing the freshened up E-Class sedan and wagon, Mercedes has removed the wraps off the coupe and cabriolet versions. Although the public will see these models at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, actual showroom models will be available only after a few more months. Styling cues taken from the sedan are aplenty, although observers will note that the fat rear haunches are reminiscent of the older E-Class. The front end, however, is radically fresh, almost looking like a concept car instead of one destined for the showroom. Mercedes’ designers and engineers must have worked long and hard to to achieve this look and yet retain the marque’s admirable safety… Continue Reading »

Katy Perry and John Mayer Spotted with a Vintage Mercedes-Benz

Last November, international singing sensations Katy Perry and John Mayer were seen together on a romantic tour in Santa Barbara, the hometown of the female singer. They were spotted strolling down the two-century old church of Old Mission. But as a Mercedes-Benz fan, what got us more star-struck was the car they entered into after getting some cold beverages. The 28-year old singer was sporting a vintage Mercedes-Benz Ponton convertible. A perfect choice for such a classy and sassy character. From this angle, it seems like she is driving a 1957 Mercedes-Benz W180 220S Ponton Cabriolet. The W180 was released in mid-50s. It was recognized to be the first E-Class… Continue Reading »

German tuners are pretty active this days. The front of the E-Class cabrio gets a new bumper design, along with an increase in the amount of air intakes. The flanks get new side skirts that are relatively subdued and simple. The rear also gets a redesigned bumper, plus a boot lid spoiler and a new diffuser that is quite sizable. There is also a new exhaust system in… Continue Reading »
