Super tuner Brabus has outed its latest project, which it claims to be the fastest 4-seat cabriolet at the moment: the Brabus E V12 Cabriolet that’s based on the E-Class cabriolet. As you can guess by its name, the tuner has outfitted the car with its own Brabus 800 V12 twin-turbo 12-cylinder engine to produce an astounding 800 horsepower with 1,047 lb.-ft. of torque that’s electronically limited to 811 lb.-ft.

The V12 engine is connected to a 5-speed automatic tranny and comes with a high-performance exhaust system that features stainless steel construction and four tailpipes. The car’s 0-60 speed is pegged at 3.7 seconds, and it gets to 200 kph (124 mph) in a mere 9.9 seconds. According to the tuner, top speed reaches a whopping 231 mph.

Outside the car, we see some LED daytime running lights right at the front apron, along with some sport fenders up front and carbon-fiber fender flares at the car’s rear side. Prospective buyers can choose from different 19-inch performance tires from different brands such as YOKOHAMA, Pirelli, and Continental.

As for the interior, there a black-leather-and-red finish to go with the ergonomic steering wheel, carbon fiber for the dash, console, and side trim, as well as new gauges that include a 250 mph dial speedometer.

The E V12 cabriolet starts at 478,000 euros, or around $679,000 and is built on demand.

E-Class Cabriolet gets ‘wow’ factor from Carlsson

Being emotionally charged as it is, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class still has a lot of room for improvements in terms of aesthetics. This applies especially to the Cabriolet which women just can’t help loving. That’s part of the reason why Carlsson decided to come up with a tuning kit for the Cabrio to make it not only faster, but more appealing to the eyes.

Carlsonn’s aerodynamic kit plus interior upgrades makes the Cabrio stand out from any angle. Couple it with a 20-percent bump in power and you’ll experience a whole new meaning to the term “topless pleasure”. Extra power comes from the ECU C-Tronic DIESEL POWER upgrade kit that is basically a plug-and-play panacea for E-Class owners wanting a little more fun out of their convertible.

From its base 231hp rating, power gets boosted upto 280hp. Torque meanwhile gets bumped up from 540Nm to 648Nm. The ladies best be careful about lead-footing the throttle on this thing because it might embarrass a lot of other guys on the road trying to outdo the souped up Cabrio.

The price tag on the ECU costs around 1,784 euro while for a little more, you’ll get sports end mufflers plus twin double-walled stainless steel tubes for a grand total of 2,319 euro. Not bad if you’re looking for the perfect reason to mess around with your Cabrio. Check out the gallery, ladies and gents.

Revozport Introduces E-Class Body Kit

Asian tuner entrant Revozport has set its sights on the E-Class Mercedes with a body modification kit made from carbon fiber. This kit was designed for the W207 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. According to the company, “The aggressive but yet subtle design is to bring out the full character of the E Coupe and giving its owners the unique look but not looking like a hooligan”.

Using the Rezonance name, the kit includes a front bumper with LED daytime running lights, a splitter with two settings, a carbon kevlar hood, side skirts, a trunk spoiler, roof spoiler and a rear diffuser panel with LED reverse and fog lights copied from the E-Class’ big brother, the SLS AMG. Revozport claims that the hood gives an 8 kilogram reduction in weight.

Revozport aims to have the kit released by the first week of March and distributed worldwide within the month. It must be said that the pictures released by the company show a nice integration of the kit with the W207 E-Class and that they do not look like cheap ripoffs. Additionally, Revozport also produces carbon fiber front grilles, mirror covers, chrome insert covers for the trunk and other accessories for other vehicles.

New Piecha Kit for E-Class Cabrio

German tuners are pretty active this days. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class cabrio variant has received a new treatment from Piecha, who have just released a new aerodynamic body kit package that should make the E-Class convertible look sleeker and sportier—not that the default version was lacking in sportiness, of course.

The front of the E-Class cabrio gets a new bumper design, along with an increase in the amount of air intakes. The flanks get new side skirts that are relatively subdued and simple. The rear also gets a redesigned bumper, plus a boot lid spoiler and a new diffuser that is quite sizable. There is also a new exhaust system in place, one featuring 4 exhaust tips (2 on each side).

Piecha also offers the body kit with a new set of 19-inch custom design multiple-spoke rims to complement the redesigned exterior elements.

It’s a notable release from Piecha, even if others might be a little disappointed because there are no performance enhancements aside from some aerodynamic tweaking for the exterior of the car. Piecha didn’t touch on any of the internal specs, but it still looks like a good mod for owners who want to differentiate their E-Class from the rest of the crowd.

Thanks to almost 230,000 voters from all over the world who cast their choice for Europe’s most popular car, three Mercedes-Benz vehicles were chosen in an online survey by Europe’s biggest automobile marketplace on the Internet, none other than AutoScout24. So far, the web company has done nine surveys with great response from their avid visitors.

So which car came up on top as Europe’s most favorite car? It’s unanimous—the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG super car is without any contention the most adored and wished for European car in the market today, being voted out of almost 1.8 million candidates.

Cutting edge quality German engineering can only be credited partially for such an honor. It’s the blood, sweat and tears that this premium car company has shed over the decades to garner such a loyal following. Not to mention the history that surrounds the SLS AMG, which brings you back to the 1950′s when an iconic sports car was made legendary in the form of the original 300 SL Gullwing.

And so, with its rich heritage and technological prowess, the SLS AMG won sans rival in all three categories. This includes the super sports car and coupe categories.

Celebrating victory with the SLS AMG are the R-Class winning in the van and compact van categories, the C-Class in the medium-size category, the E-Class in the intermediate category, and the E-Class Cabrio in the cabriolet category.
