Mercedes-Benz C-Class Gets Luxury Car of the Year Award From Yahoo! Autos

Yahoo! Autos revealed its 2015 Luxury Car of the Year pick on Sunday last week. The recipient for this year’s award went to the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. According to the website, it chose the Mercedes C-Class among other contenders because of its beautiful design, balanced output, and comfort features. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 was also included in the list of nominees, but it only ended up with an Honorable Mention. Spy photos of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet surfaced again. This time, the shots were aimed at the rear of the car, which gives us a good glimpse of its backside. Check out these photos of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet posted by Carscoops in its official website: Based from the pictures, the upcoming C-Class variant seemed to borrow some of the styling found in the S-Class coupe. Early this month at the Paris Motor Show, the Mercedes-AMG C63 sedan was unveiled. Now, the question remains in everyone’s mind about the future of the existing Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG coupe. It is just reasonable to assume that the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG coupe might reach its final production stage after the release of the new C-Class AMG variant. Mercedes-Benz is Recalling 2015 C-Class Sedans

Mercedes-Benz recently issued a worldwide recall of its 2015 C-Class sedans. According to a report from The New York Times, the move of the company is due to the strong likelihood of steering issues with the car. In the U.S. alone, it is estimated that around 10,000 units of the variant would be affected by the recall. Donna Boland, the spokesperson of Mercedes-Benz, revealed through a phone interview with the source that the steering coupling interlock of the 2015 C-Class sedan might not have been placed in a locked position at an assembly plant. Mercedes-AMG C63 Unveiled in Paris

The originally thought Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG was finally unveiled in the Paris Motor Show. However, the car now sports a new name, which is Mercedes-AMG C63. It is the second car to adopt solely the “Mercedes-AMG” name—dropping the “Mercedes-Benz” moniker—following the GT sports coupe. As reported earlier, the car shares the same engine with the Mercedes-AMG GT. A 4.0-liter biturbo V8 replaces the outgoing Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG’s 6.2-liter naturally aspirated engine. The new Mercedes-AMG C63 features two engine options. The standard model has a downsized output of 469 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. EPA Tells Mercedes-Benz to Revise Gas Mileage Rates

Mercedes-Benz was the latest target of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to USA Today, EPA claimed the gas estimates in miles per gallon (MPG) of the three-pointed star marque in some of its models were inaccurate. The agency asked the luxury automaker to downgrade the numbers. The models, which caught the attention of the regulator, were the 2013 and 2014 versions of the Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC. The regulating body revised the flexible fuel version and PZEV low-emission figures of the said models. Video: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Kisses a Post at Gumball Event

A get together event was organized by Gumball 3000 this Sunday afternoon (September 28). The Gumball Meet, held at a car park in Manchester, saw a couple of enthusiastic drivers displaying their skills at the helm of their performance cars. It was surely a fun-filled event, but there were moments that drove the crowd into a frenzy. Two separate crashes were witnessed by the spectators involving a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and a Jaguar XKR.
