2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 is Getting Hybrid Tech Sourced from F1

The last time we saw the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C63, it was heavily clad in camouflage. Recently, the prototype of the high-performance sedan was caught on cam again, but this time, with most of its exterior exposed. From the video, we can confirm the identity of the C-Class as an AMG C63 because of its exposed Panamericana front grille design with vertical slats, large intakes on the sides of the front bumper’s base, quadruple square exhaust tips, partially peeking rear diffuser, and sports wheels and tires. The renowned high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz Group just unveiled another model that directly benefits from Formula 1 technology, the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC. The new C-Class model takes a hybrid powertrain to maximize output and ensure a ‘highly agile driving experience’. Performance Like the new AMG SL 43, the new AMG C43 sports a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. However, thanks to an assist from a small electric motor, the car is capable of producing 408 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The three-pointed star marque has been teasing us with spy shots and videos of the next-generation Mercedes-AMG C63 variants for nearly a year now. In recent months, we have seen the upcoming model of the high-performance C-Class gradually shedding its zebra camouflage, and now, it’s making its rounds again in Nurburging with a more exposed exterior. When Michael Schumacher joined Mercedes GP Petronas Formula 1 Team back in 2010, one of the perks he got was a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG wagon as a company car. He drove the car for seven months before it changed ownership in July of that same year. From then on, it changed hands two more times until the auction, which will be held at Bonhams on February 3. Based on the ad, the car has 152,000 km (94,450 mi) on its clock. The seller claims that it is in good technical, visual, and running condition. Manhart Turns the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Estate Into a 700 HP Rocket

The days of the V8 engines are numbered as Mercedes-Benz is hounded by supply chain issues. To give the powertrain a proper send-off, Manhart just unveiled a new tuning project for the soon-to-be phased-out eight-cylinder-bearing Mercedes-AMG C63 S Estate. The new tuning package of the company turns the AMG C63 S Estate into the “Manhart CR 700 Wagon”. Through an aftermarket turbo performance kit, turbo modifications, new carbon air intake, intercooler enhancement, and ECU remapping, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the car is boosted to 712 hp with 679 lb-ft of torque. Just when we thought that the Mercedes-Benz Class All-Terrain would only be a one-off affair, its maker finally drops an official announcement that its mass production is getting a green light. The wagon is already confirmed for the European market, but it doesn’t look to be coming to the U.S. anytime soon. In a nutshell, the vehicle is the rugged version of the C-Class wagon.
