Mercedes B-Class Orders Start on September 12

A source stated that the facelifted Mercedes B-Class (W246) is set to hit the showrooms of dealerships in Europe before the year ends. According to MB Passion, the enhanced B-Class will be out for sale by November 2014. Orders for the vehicle can already be placed starting September 12 though. That’s before it even debuts in October at the Mondial de l’Automobile 2014 in Paris. As earlier reported, there are no major changes in the overall design and wheelbase of the Mercedes B-Class. Mercedes-Benz is gearing to introduce its first mass-produced pure electric vehicle in the U.S. According to Forbes, the flagship luxury vehicle brand of Daimler is looking for an end of June or early July release of the EV in the American soil. The entry of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive in the region will pit it against the more established brands when it comes to EVs such as Tesla and Nissan. It should be noted that Tesla is currently dominating the county’s EV market, thanks to its Model S. Facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class Spied

Last month, we have shown the facelifted Mercedes-Benz B-Class spy shots. Recently, new images of the vehicle surfaced again, which showed its bare rear exterior as it was being loaded to a container behind a truck. Despite the low quality of the pictures, we can see that the back of the vehicle bears a striking resemblance to its current model. Even the dimensions of the soon-to-be-released Mercedes B-Class version seems to remain the same. The taillights, rear bumper and exhausts appear to have received minor tweaks though. A new Mercedes B-Class will debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. According to MB Passion, the next version of the car will have some minor tweaks in its design, although its overall shape and size shall remain the same. Add-Ons in the New Mercedes B-Class Based from the source, among the features that will be added in the upcoming Mercedes B-Class are Bi-Xenon headlamps, and headlamp cleaning system. It will come with a base price of $41,450. Specs of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive The first-ever fully electric-powered car of Mercedes-Benz in the U.S. carries an engine developed by Tesla Motors. It has a battery pack with 28-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. The final output of the production model’s motor is 132 kW with 251 lb-ft of torque.
