Tuner Brabus is a company who likes laying their hands on Mercedes-Benz cars. It is no longer surprising that they chose the Mercedes B-Class to be their new project.

Brabus worked on the rear and front spoilers, lowered the customized wheels and put a 4-flow exhaust system. The tires are sized 225/35 R19 on the front and the 245/30 R19 on the rear. The sports exhaust system is available in B180 CDI, B200 CDI, B180 and B200 with 4 tailpipes in 76mm and 1x rear silencer.

The information above are just primer, we think, as Brabus have not released other specifications yet. We will post it as soon as we get more news.

Acknowledging the whims of the North American market, Mercedes is reportedly considering the development of a B-Class plug-in hybrid. This should not be a surprise since Mercedes has been saying all along that hybrids are a class of drivetrains that will be part of their offerings. As the smallest Mercedes available in the U.S. market, the B-Class will be another component of their war against their German rivals.

But as other variants of the B-Class have shown, this small Mercedes is by no means an entry-level vehicle. Interior appointments and safety features are at par with those of the C- and even E-Class. With the introduction of a plug-in hybrid, MBNA is giving buyers in one of its largest markets even more choices and options to get into these superbly engineered cars.

Brand loyalty is not easily earned, and companies who develop a following would to well to capitalize on such loyalty. Which is what Mercedes is doing with the release of its latest accessories for its M- and B-Class offerings. And for Mercedes-Benz loyalists, this is not a bad thing, because you just know that Mercedes does not put its logo on just any product. Standards of quality must be lived up to. To this end, Mercedes is offering myriad add-ons such as snow chains, running boards, bike racks, ski and snowboard racks, a dozen varieties of lightweight alloy rims, steering wheels and pedals, an iPod integration kit and a Becker satnav system.

The B-Class, M-Class and C-Class Coupe Passed the NCAP Crash Test

Mercedes-Benz’ new car models, the B-, M- and C-Class Coupe were awarded the best in the crash test based on the European New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). Both the B- and the M- Class are the best in their categories while the C-Class Coupe got the prime rating of five stars for outstanding occupant protection.

Other Mercedes’ innovations were also given awards. The PRE-SAFE system, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST and ATTENTION ASSIST were recognized because of their benefits and the safety it can bring to riders or owners.

Ulrich Mellinghoff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Safety Development said, “The Euro NCAP awards are a striking recognition of the safety level of our vehicles, and we’re very happy about them,” he went further by saying, “But the standardized crash tests cover only a small part of the real course of events leading up to and during road accidents. For this reason

Mercedes-Benz designs all model series employing some 40 different accident constellations, most of which we define based on the experience of our in-house accident research. Additionally, focusing on anticipatory systems and accident avoidance we equip our vehicles with systems which are not even taken into account in the rating.”

11C533 178 New B Class and M Class Now in DealersCan’t wait for the new generation of Mercedes-Benz vehicles? Well, wait no more more! The new B-Class and M-Class are now with dealers and the deliveries will start on November 19.

Joachim Schmidt, Executive VP Sales and Marketing of Mercedes-Benz cars said, “The introduction of the new B-Class and the new M-Class brings two important models to the market, each of which raises the bar in its segment that little bit further. We have every confidence that they will continue to build on the success of their predecessors and help generate further momentum in terms of sales.”

The new B-Class: premium is not a matter of size

Since 2005 more than 700,000 customers have taken delivery of a B-Class. With about a third of worldwide sales since the beginning of the year having been made in Germany, this represents its biggest market, followed by China, where the B-Class was introduced with great success in 2009.

The new M-Class: improved efficiency and an exceptional level of safety

With altogether more than 1.2 million units sold, the M-Class is the most successful SUV in its segment. Since its market launch in 2005, more than half a million customers have opted for the most recent model generation and, in spite of a model change being imminent, sales in October increased by 22.2% percent, making the
M-Class leader in its market segment. The biggest sales market is the US, with a share of approx. 40 percent since the start of 2011, followed by China and Germany.

One of the most impressive features of this third generation of the Mercedes-Benz
M-Class is its outstanding energy efficiency. The fuel consumption of the new models lies, on average, 25 percent below that of their predecessors. The fuel-efficiency champion is the ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC, which gets by with an NEDC consumption of just 6.0 l/100 km (158 g CO2/km).

Further strengths of the premium SUV with permanent all-wheel drive include exceptional safety and well-balanced ride comfort as well as excellent driving dynamics both on and off the road. What is more, the ML features an array of new chassis developments and innovative dynamic handling control systems which further enhance both driving enjoyment and handling safety.
