. The present Mercedes-Benz CL class was launched in 2006 and the stylish and curvy two-door coupe has been a strong performer since then. The coupe is known for its safety, performance, boot space and power, and what else could one ask for? There are a few though who adore Lamborghini or Mclaren or even the Koennigsegg. 2009 SL 500 undergoes power-training under Carlsson

The all-new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class can now be treated the Carlsson way. The new tuning kit from the Mercedes tuner promises neat transformation in the visual and energy departments. The SL 500 after all that, will evolve into the Carlsson CK50, after losing the 3 pointed star on its grille. The stock 5.5 liter C8 is fiddled to produce 435-hp and a peak torque of 443 lb-ft. That allows the Carlsson CK50 to gallop from zero to 62mph in a mere 5.1 seconds with a top whack of 182mph. Mercedes B-Class fuel-cell test completed successfully

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class featuring fuel-cell drive has completed its winter testing in northern Sweden successfully. At sub-zero temperatures, the zero-emission drive showcased its capability and vital data was logged in the course of this test program. The engineers focus was on the interaction between different components in the car in real-life winter conditions. Mercedes-Benz will be launching the first series vehicle with a local, zero-emission fuel-cell drive in summer 2010. Small-series production of the B-Class F-CELL will begin in early 2010. A new advanced type of fuel-cell drive will be employed to power this vehicle. The advantages are its compact size, better performance and suitability for everyday use.

Mercedes-Benz continues its domination in Korea

Mercedes-Benz Korea sold 597 units of its S, C, E and B class models in the month of February as it continues leading in Korea as the top imported “premium” brand for the second continuous month of this year. The new C Class takes top honors as 1,000 numbers of the new sedan have been sold since its official launch last November. The model is a key contributor in Mercedes’ impressive sales chart and is enjoying a good run. Mercedes will auction DTM racer for a noble cause

For the first time in history, Mercedes-Benz will auction one of its original racing cars (“Laureus AMG Mercedes C-Class”) from the DTM (German Touring Car Championships). This was the car which Gary Paffett drove to win the DTM race in Oschersleben last year. The obtained funds will be transfered to Laureus Sport for Good Foundation that funds social sports projects for young people. The auction, which will close on Friday, April 4, 2008, is taken care by Christie’s. Mercedes-Benz has set the minimum bid for the car at $435,000. ICSI collaborates with Diamler to manufacture turbochargers

German auto giant Diamler, have signed a deal with Japanese components maker IHI Charging Systems International (ICSI) to manufacture turbochargers for application in petrol and diesel engines. The manufacturing unit will be built at Arnstadt in eastern Germany and will employ 400 people. IHI Charging Systems International (ICSI) holds the majority stake in this deal. A turbocharger is an exhaust gas driven pump that is used in internal combustion engines to increase the amount of available oxygen available for the engine’s functioning. 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-class spy pics

Spy shots of the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-class have arrived. The new E-class, code named W212, is expected to make its presence at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show, and the sales will begin sometime in early 2010. The new car will replace the current E-class which has been in the market since 2003. It will have the usual V6 and V8 engines. The E63 AMG model will be powered by a normally aspirated, 6.3 liter V8, producing in excess of 500 bhp.
