Mercedes Alabama Plant Workers Have the Highest Pay in US

It really pays off working with Mercedes, in a literal sense. According to Reuters, citing a study conducted by the Center for Automotive Research, workers at the Mercedes Alabama plant have the highest hourly pay and benefits compared to other car factories in the US. On the other hand, the people in the rival luxury car makers of the brand, namely BMW and Volkswagen, are the least earners based on the same study. The findings showed that each worker at the Mercedes Alabama plant earn an average of $65 per hour. Mercedes Targets 10 Plug-In Hybrid Cars by 2017

Mercedes-Benz recently revealed that it is planning to add 10 more models in its plug-in hybrid cars. The company said it is targeting that number by 2017. The German luxury car maker revealed that it is expecting to release at least one new model carrying the technology in every four months. Based on the new naming system of Mercedes, the individual powertrain designations of its vehicles will be indicated by a small letter following the model name. In this case, its plug-in hybrid variants will be identifiable with an “e”. The iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR will be making its appearance at the Lime Rock Historics 2015, which will be held from September 3 to 7. The W196 Formula One Grand Prix car will also make it to the event. Together with the cars are the racing legends Sir Stirling Moss and Jochen Mass.
