Top 3 Mercedes-Benz Technology Features for You

Giancarlo Perlas November 21, 2017

At this point, I think we as consumers fully expect to be continually impressed by new technology. One of our favorite places to experience high-end tech is in our cars.

While there’s several auto manufacturers that have been putting on a show lately with exciting new driving and comfort features, you’ll be hard-pressed to find an article about the best car tech that doesn’t include Mercedes-Benz.

They’re simply unwilling to be beaten when it comes next level luxury and technology features which inspired us to write this article outlining 3 new Mercedes-Benz technology features that you might definitely want.

Let’s get started!

1. Semi-Autonomous Driving

Anyone who has been paying attention will probably agree that Tesla leads the pack when it comes to delivering a car that can go completely auto-pilot. However, Mercedes-Benz is one of just a few select few companies that have been developing similar technology good enough to get recognition. The Mercedes E-Class is already equipped with a semi-autonomous system called Drive Pilot that allows the vehicle to drive itself on the highway and control features like cruise control.

Drive Pilot isn’t just limited to the highway either and can make parking at home more convenient than ever. The system can only be used on private property but it will allow the driver to remotely park or remove their vehicle from its parking space using the self-driving technology. It’s ok to be at least a little impressed!

2. Night Vision

While new technology is certainly super-cool, the purpose is often to improve safety for occupants and night vision is an incredible new feature that does just that. If you’ve ever driven on a dark highway then you know that animals or objects can appear almost out of nowhere giving you very little time to react.

Select Mercedes-Benz models have built-in imaging to detect any obstacles in the road and alert you in the instrument cluster so you have the advance notice you need to slow down and maneuver safely. Night vision isn’t brand new for 2018 models so you might even be able to save a few bucks and find this feature on a pre-owned Mercedes-Benz.

3. Energizing Comfort Control

The level of intuition shown by this collection of in-cabin features to improve the comfort and well-being of its occupants is almost over the top but it’s also the kind of innovation that makes Mercedes the best luxury automaker on the planet. There are six programs in total ( Freshness, Warmth, Vitality, Joy, Comfort, Training ) that network with the vehicle’s climate controls, heated seats, music, scents, and ambient lighting to reach the desired end goal based on your mood. I think many of us would like to test-drive a new Benz out of sheer curiosity about this feature alone.

Did we miss anything? What do you think are the best new tech features being delivered by the new line-up of Mercedes-Benz vehicles?
