Mercedes-Benz Reveals New S-Class Cabrio’s OLED Taillights

Shortly before the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, Mercedes-Benz revealed more details of its S-Class Cabrio’s OLED taillights. This tells us that Mercedes is, at least, preparing to unveil updated versions of the S-Class cabriolet and coupe. The teaser video from the company showed off the Cabrio’s OLED taillights. The 22-second teaser video showed the left rear lamp in close detail. This was to highlight the 33 individual OLED elements on the taillights. The OLEDs are arranged in three rows and were overlapping each other to curve around the lamp. This was made possible because of the thin profile of the OLED lights. To expand its line of compact electric cars, Mercedes is looking at unveiling a new concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017 on September 12. The coming Mercedes compact electric car lineup will start with a new member of the EQ range. Daimler Plans To Break Up Mercedes Divisions Ahead Of Restructuring Plans

There will be more movements in Mercedes-Benz divisions than in the past years combined. German car and trucks maker Daimler, which operates Mercedes, is planning a corporate holding structure that would break up Mercedes divisions into three separate parts. Hamilton wins Belgian GP; Bottas fifth

Lewis Hamilton proved unstoppable at the Belgian GP, taking the win despite a tremendous challenge put forth by Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. The other Mercedes car of Valtteri Bottas finished in fifth place. Hamilton owned F1’s first weekend back from its mid-season break.
