At Least 10 Mercedes-Benz EV Models Will Be Launched Going to 2022

Ten new Mercedes-Benz EV (electric vehicle) models will hit the market going to 2022. The three-pointed star marque is actively continuing its momentum going to the targeted year by setting up more plants to accommodate EV production. The goal of Mercedes to produce at least 10 EVs up to 2022 was recently highlighted at the Daimler Global Media Site. The numbers include all the vehicle segments of the brand from small to large vehicles. Daimler revealed it will invest 10 billion euros for the expansion of its EVs in the following years. Mercedes-AMG A-Class and CLA to Get Cheaper Versions

The Mercedes-AMG A-Class and CLA range will get cheaper versions that will sit below their respective AMG 45 models. AMG CEO Tobias Moers said in an interview with Autocar, “We will complement our successful 45 models with two versions like we do with our larger cars.” No additional details about the matter were revealed to the public yet, but the affected cars will reportedly bear the “AMG 25” model names. Monaco GP: Bottas 4th, Hamilton 7th as Ferrari grabs 1-2

Sebastian Vettel took home the race win at the 2017 Monaco GP, at the head of a Ferrari 1-2 finish. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas finished in fourth place and Lewis Hamilton was able to get to seventh despite starting from P13. Overall, though, this was a loss for Mercedes as Ferrari managed to get father ahead in the standings. With the win, Vettel is now 25 points ahead of Hamilton for the lead in the driver’s standings. Lewis Hamilton’s struggles continued from practice to qualifying, limping to P14 on the grid at the Monaco GP. “I was devastated after the session,” said Hamilton.
