The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is already very opulent as it is. However, Scaldarsi thought they could still do more with the car. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse.

What the people at Scaldarsi did with the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is that they placed 24-karat gold accents in it. Then they modified its body, particularly its front fascia, rear and side panels. The Mercedes-Maybach S600 was hardly recognizable after that because it had become bulkier in shape. In addition, its signature features like the grille, bumpers and body lines were remodeled. The wheels were also changed. The customized Mercedes-Maybach S600 was repackaged as the “Scaldarsi Emperor I.”

New leather and hard wood adorned the interior of the Scaldarsi Emperor I. According to a source, there are 24 colors of leather, 24 types of animal hides, 78 types of wood and 16 body colors to choose from for the redesigned Mercedes-Maybach car.

Moreover, buyers have the option to add tote bags and champagne glasses with custom engravings. They can purchase the Emperor Edition Rolex watch and have their car keys customized too.

Scaldarsi appears to have took things too far though. Automotive journalists heavily criticized their excessive taste. The only good thing about the luxury car though was its engine.

Scaldarsi allowed Brabus to tune the 6.3-liter biturbo V12 engine of the Mercedes-Maybach S600. The resulting output of the power unit was 888 hp. Thus, the acceleration of the car from zero to 60 mph was reduced to 3.7 seconds.

Only 10 units of the car have been made. Interested buyers can purchase them for $1.5 million.
