Tuning firm Schmidt Revolution unveiled its new project for the 2016 Mercedes-AMG CLA45. The package gives the coupe a boost in engine power and new set of wheels.

Power Unit

The Mercedes-AMG CLA45 possesses a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbo engine. The output of the car’s power unit is at 375 hp with 350 lb-ft of torque. The coupe has an all-wheel drive feature and its power distributed via a seven-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The zero to 60 mph acceleration of the auto is only 4.1 seconds.

According to a source, Schmidt Revolution installed a chip to the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 to take raise its output up to 400 hp with 361 lb-ft of torque. The boost makes the coupe accelerate a split-second quicker than the stock engine of the performance-level CLA. On the other hand, its top speed is increased to 180 mph.

Styling

The Mercedes-AMG CLA45 only received subtle enhancements in its looks with Schmidt Revolution’s body kit. The most prominent improvement comes from the vehicle’s wheels and tires.

The tuner gave the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 a new set Gambit wheels measuring 19 inches. The wheels are wrapped in black 225/35R19 tires in front and 235/25R19 tires in the rear.

To complement the new wheels, Schmidt Revolution turned to Speedbox in the installation of H&R springs to the car. The modification reduces the ride height of the auto by 0.98 inches.
