Mercedes-Benz “Beyond The Action” Explores BASE Jumping

Giancarlo Perlas June 13, 2016

How does one take charge of life? How do we slow it down to savor each and every moment that passes us by? In a 2:59 video posted by Mercedes on video-sharing site YouTube, its “Beyond the Action” film series follows the seemingly mundane life of BASE jumper Simon Guthrie as he walks out of his job and follows the New Zealand trail of jumping off a waterfall.

Accompanying Guthrie, of course, is a well-equipped Mercedes-Benz G-Class, which is as badass as the art of BASE jumping. Can you imagine a more suitable vehicle to take into your adventure? Sure, not everyone has the heart and the guts to jump off a waterfall and pray that your parachute will open just in time, but everyone knows the G-Class is the perfect partner for your life’s adventures.

BASE jumping, though, is not the be-all and end-all of exploring life and traversing its edges. What’s important, according to the video, is to have a moment to stop and think a while; to realize if you’re doing the things that will truly make you happy or that you’re passionate about. Nothing is more sacred than the idea of living life to the fullest, rather than just going through the motions of your everyday life.

Make every moment count. It will take you out of the doldrums.

Mercedes aims to be a part of your journey through an exciting lifestyle.  Whether or not you want to live off the edge like Guthrie, you need a Mercedes by your side.
