The Mercedes-AMG GT S is now the flagship sports car of AMG following the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Final Edition. Although the successor possessed a downsized engine, it is still worthy of getting the mantle previously owned by the SLS, thanks to its striking design, lighter body, and more aerodynamically-efficient features, among others.

Recently, a video of the GT S undergoing a dyno testing with the latest tuning package of Hennessey Performance surfaced. It shows the sports car with amped engine output.

Based on the specification of the Mercedes-AMG GT S in the AMG website, the handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo V8 engine of the car is capable of providing it up to 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. The figures push the auto from zero to 100 km/h in mere 3.8 seconds and allow it to attain an electronically-limited maximum speed of 310 km/h.

With the Hennessey HPE600 package, the video reveals that the maximum output of the AMG GT S is raised to 545.76 hp with 566.55 lb-ft (768.14 Nm) of torque.

So far, there’s no information yet on the zero to 100 km/h sprint of the car, but the numbers should shave off its time by a split second. There’s no word as well on the top speed of the vehicle after the tune.

According to the description of the video, the Hennessey HPE600 AMG GT S is available at Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land.
