Street Version of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Spotted in Spain

The road-allowed version of the over-the-top Mercedes-AMG GT3 was recently spotted while undergoing testing in Spain.
The prototype was under a heavy camo, but it was easily recognizable due to its curves and visible exterior components like the air intakes on its sides, exhaust tips, diffuser, grille, headlamps and wheels. The bulges in its lip spoiler, slope of its roofing, hood shape, and its overall length also bear a striking resemblance to the Mercedes-AMG GT.
However, there were some noticeable updates in the car compared to the standard GT. One of them is the fixed rear wing. The fenders look wider too. Furthermore, there appears to be something protruding a bit on the sides of its hood like short, thin wings.
According to sources, the Mercedes-AMG GT3’s street version will offer more output than the current range-topping GT S. GTSpirit, the source of the photos, expects the car to deliver up to 550 hp.
It will still feature the same 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine found on the GT. But its new turbochargers will give it the said boost.
It should be noted though that the Mercedes-AMG GT3 for racing has a different engine. The race car retained its predecessor’s 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine. Of course, the GT3 racer has more profound carbon fiber aerodynamic parts too for competitive reasons.
The price tag of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is estimated to be around $500,000, including taxes. The street legal variant should cost significantly lesser than that amount, but it will definitely have a price tag above the GT S.
