Presenting the Posaidon GT RS.

Posaidon just unveiled its new work involving the Mercedes-AMG GT and the GT S. The specialist provided the car a significant boost in its power unit to raise its output. The tuner calls its new product the Posaidon GT RS.

The stock configuration of the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine of the AMG GT allows it to produce 462 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The range-topper, the GT S, brings forth 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. But with the package offered by Posaidon, everything is raised to 700 hp—as the kit’s name implies—plus a torque up to 750 Nm. The numbers are good for both the GT and the GT S.

The tuner noted that the maximum torque can be raised further. It explained that it only kept its current boost within the 750 Nm mark in accordance to the factory recommended torque limitation of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

The specialist pointed out customers can order specs above the specified number, but it should come with the understanding that going more than the said figure will have an effect on the longetivity of the engine.

With the new output of the Posaidon GT RS, its zero to 100 km/h acceleration can only be achieved in 3.2 seconds. Then, its top speed is also pushed up to 349 km/h.

The tuner achieved the abovementioned results through its in-house turbocharger upgrade coupled with some tinkering to enhance the intercooler. Furthermore, the exhaust system saw some revisions as well as an ECU remapping.
